Wisconsin can't pass - Stave is a statue. Stop the run and you have them beat. That's what Bama did plus their lines wore them down. I agree it was a solid win but Wisconsin is good annually but I don't think they'll ever be a true NC contender.
Nebraska is a hail Mary and OT loss away from being considered pretty decent but breaking in a new coach is going to take some getting used to.
I don't care if Penn State is ever good again given what they allowed Sandusky to do for over 10 years.
I do think Iowa and Minnesota are pretty decent teams but not elite - borderline top 25. Indiana can score but they can't defend. I expect them to fade. Maryland, Illinois, Rutgers and Purdue are not very good.

Vanderbilt lost to WKU and gave Mississippi a solid game, Auburn (rated in the top 10 early) struggled to beat Jacksonville State and has lost twoce, Arkansas lost to Toledo and Texas Tech, who has Georgia played, Who has Alabama beaten, South Carolina sure looks unbeatable, Ohio State had nearly 600 yards of offense but struggled to beat VT? (a game they led 42-17!!??), MSU's win over Oregon is waning but Utah's win over the Ducks (without their starting QB) puts them in your top 4. You're logic is starting to resemble a block of swiss cheese - it's full of holes! Seriously, it's early - it will play out! If Utah goes undefeated or wins the Pac 12 with one loss, they got a great shot at the playoffs. who has Alabama beaten? really?? They beat Wisconsin lol, one of your Big 10 gems you Ohio State fans are the biggest conference apologists I've ever seen... I don't WANT the Big 10 to suck...it's just strictly observation. I thought Penn State and Nebraska would be better.... Ohio State and Michigan State are held by a different standard, because of playoff considerations...but besides them, I see Northwestern and Michigan as the only good things going on in the Big 10. Who else is good? Please don't tell me Indiana lol I'll definitely concede that the SEC West is not what it was portrayed as this year. Auburn sucks bad....and the Arkansas loss to Toledo is ugly. Miss St. isn't as good either...it's become top heavy again, with Ole Miss, Bama, and LSU at the top Apologists??? All I did was throw out the actual records of how conferences were performing against other P5 conferences. Strictly facts nothing else. You decided to point out the shortcomings of every team in the Big 10. Following up on what doc said, LSU struggled against a Syracuse who has no quality wins this year. Their best win so far is a 2 point win over a team expected to finish last in the SEC West. Mizzou who is the defending champion in the East barely beats Arky St and UConn. UK who looks very competitive in the East scrapes past ULL by 7 points. Florida who owns the east right now barely beats ECU who got waxed by Navy. Sometimes perception and reality are 2 different things. That was clearly the case last year with the Big 10 regarding perception and reality. Again none of this really matters as the best teams will rise to the top and be in the mix when it comes to determine who is in.

You know... just to throw a wrench in all this comparative logic: Sometimes, one team just matches up better against one style vs another.
If we could always compare these relative victories, and get logical results, we'd all be rich and living on an island somewhere.

Are you aware that the top 10 teams in the Big Ten are a combined 35-5 and three of the losses are to top 15 teams - Utah, TCU and Alabama? The other 2 losses are to Temple and UNC. On top of that, Nebraska has 2 losses - one on a Hail Mary and the other in OT at Miami.

Indiana will score - I just don't think they'll be able to stop Ohio State. But they have a very capable offense - put their offense with a Northwsetern's defense and you'd have something! Their coach was the OC for Bob Stoops at Oklahoma.

I see a lot of question marks which is a pretty good way of saying that you don't really know. Wisconsin, Penn St, could both potentially be good. Penn St certainly has a QB that can get them their if he can get the protection. According to the BIG Network Iowa is the most complete team in the BIG (Not Best but Complete). You classified 4 teams in the big 10 as decent. On the same note I would put Alabama, Ole Miss, TAM, LSU and Georgia at the same level. The difference at the top is the 2 teams at the top of the Big 10 are the top 2 teams in the country but on the other side the SEC has more balance from top to bottom.

I don't think we should compare conference strength because no conference has looked high and mighty this year....BUT if you want to go that route........The Big Ten has Ohio State, Michigan State, Michigan and Northwestern The SEC has Georgia, Maybe 'Ole Miss, Alabama, and LSU? And LSU has not beaten a quality opponent yet! Say what you want about Ohio State's schedule the best team LSU has played was taken to overtime by Jacksonville State! I think Hawaii, and Western Michigan would both perform better against Jacksonville State than Auburn did!!!!Syracuse barely escaped Central Michigan and gave LSU a tough game.........evil parity is rampant in college football this year so to compare conference strength after 4 weeks is silly....but just out of curiousity who else in the SEC has stood out, besides the 4 I mentioned? You called out the Big Ten for only having 4......Florida? Tennesee has lost close games, but so has Nebraska it's silly to attempt to compare conferences now....and have Bowl season make a mockery of those comparisons

Our cupcake game was cancelled...we've performed admirably well for our schedule.

Syracuse hasn't been that much better than an upper level MAC team for a while now....the Power 5 might mask that...but its true. How can you then dog Ohio State for scheduling Va tech and NIU using that same logic?
