I tried to post this yesterday and it didn't go through for some reason....
I think Alabama and Clemson are locks
I think the B1G Champ will make it....coming from Wisconsin/Ohio State/Michigan
And I think Washington has a chance to make it...they still have some tough games though. So if Washington loses, I see Louisville slipping into the playoff
Auburn could stir things up, but I really feel Alabama wins that game at this point

The beauty ( and integrity) of 'REAL' NCAA CF championships--- Nothing is "set" until all the conference championships are firmed up, many coming down to the final week. Then, an NCAA committee selects worthy 'at large' entries to flesh out the playoff field.

Teams FIRST, must PLAY WELL... and, win... THEN, they can earn the right t be considered for the "invitational".

You better check with Evil. He posted that the so called 'playoff' picture was "set"

That division runner-up stuff was fraud.

I think Pens State deserved to go, over Ohio State. But, neither of them really has a gripe... NEITHER of them really deserved a "Mulligan Shot".

The B10 champion should always have an opportunity to compete for a national championship just like the B12 champion and all the champs but unfortunately all we have now is a little 'Invitational ' event.

I don't agree... especially not with the current CCG format. Pretty easy to get a crappy team, in an weak division... having one lucky game. No thanks...

If a team wins something in the regular season ( like a championship ) it can't be all that "crappy" can it ? It's at least better than the other teams in its league.

It CAN be the crappy result of Super-Conferences with unbalanced scheduling. For example: The 1996 Texas team... defeated Nebraska for the Big 12 title. 8-5 overall.. NO WAY we were a better team than Nebraska. If they played 10 times, we probably only win 1. But, we were the CHAMPS! If there were 8 slots? Ok.. let us in. With only 4? Most likely, a different Champion would be more deserving.

You took 3 shots at predicting the winner of the Big Ten championship, and still missed. You have lots of company. I don't recall anyone predicting Penn State.

There weren't, this year... But, there have been some in the past, and will be again in the future. I gave you one..... from my own beloved team.
IMO, that LUCKY win of Texas over Nebraska in 1996 doomed the Big 12 in it's first year. Tom Osborne NEVER got over it.
