Let's move away from the polls for a second. Who are the players you've watched who are All Americans at this point of the season...
For me, the best player I've seen is Robert Nkemdiche...his performance against Alabama was absolutely dominating. Having said this, if a Heisman vote was conducted today, the winner would be Leonard Fournette - he rushed for 244 last week and had an 87 yard run called back, a man among boys.
Others who have been very impressive...Sterling Shepard WR Oklahoma, Jeremy Cash DB Duke, Darron Lee LB Ohio State, Jaylon Smith LB Notre Dame. I'm sure there are many others but in games that I've watched these guys have dominated from their positions.

Nick Chubb at UGA is 1 game away from breaking Hershel Walkers record. The LB at Notre Dame...maybe best overall player in CFB. The OSU LB yes. Texas A&M has 2. DE Miles Jarrett. And who the heck is #3 at WR??? Christian Kirk? He may be the most dangerous skill position player I've seen all year. He's on my All September list.

LOL
And some people think UK's Patrick Towles is better.. he's 67 of 114 for 824 yards... With 5 TD's and 4 Int's. QB rating of 126.9.
Maybe not this year, but I think Texas's new QB, Jerrod Heard will make that list before he's done. This kid, is GOOD!
The only other player I've seen thus far that I would nominate is, that right defensive end for Missouri... I think his name is Charles Harris. That kid was virtually unblockable against Kentucky. He changed the offensive game plan.
