Guilty. Sure looked like Trump was mocking the reporter to me. I'll accept that he wasn't. However, Trump really shouldn't mock anyone like that. Childish. I didn't hear anything wrong with the general's answer about ISIS that warranted Trump mocking him. Profound lack of respect and dignity, and unbefitting one who was seeking to become commander-in-chief.

I really don't watch the Golden Globes or Oscars to hear Meryl Streep get political - I'm not a political person (as I've mentioned numerous times before) and I could care less what she or any other celebrity thinks about politics. At the same time, I really don't think our president/elect should be tweeting responses to these people - it comes with the job. Deal with it and focus with more important issues. If I'm that son-in-law who he just brought on as an advisor the first thing I'd tell him would be get the hell off of Twitter....

I agree Doc. Trump diminished himself by responding to Streep, and particularly by calling her overrated as an actress.
She is one of the great actresses of our time, and is also a radical left moron.

No shame... I was fooled, initially too. In fact, I couldn't believe anyone would say he WASN'T mocking the reporter.
This episode really changed me. It reminded me, once again, of the extreme power of deception wielded by the media. A deceptive video can be very convincing.

Trump benefitted greatly, IMO, from the same thing Bernie Sanders had going for him: He is AUTHENTIC.
He is, who he is... and, has always been. I'm reading "The Art of the Deal" right now... It was written in 1987. It reads like Trump could have said these things yesterday. He has changed very little in the past 30 years. Like him, or not...He's genuine.
His brash style has worked pretty well for him in his life, and I seriously doubt we're going to see much of a change. The best we can hope for is, that it will "work for us".

Trump is an AUTHENTIC bully. He is an AUTHENTICALLY horrible, despicable person.
Trump had every right to counter-attack Streep on what she said. But, it is his nature to launch unrelated personal attacks. I absolutely detest her politics, but Meryl Streep is undeniably one of the greatest actresses of our time.
Carly Fiorina's only sin was that she was a candidate in the Republican presidential primary. Did Trump attack her on differences on issues?
Trump: 'Look at that face!' he cries. 'Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!'

, but Meryl Streep is undeniably one of the greatest actresses of our time. I've never really liked her much. Some good movies, some not so good.. many characters that seem pretty similar. She is definitely one of the most prolific actresses of our time. But, when it comes to acting? It's ALL subjective opinion.
