Hen, I'm really SHOCKED (SHOCKED, I tell you) That you don't have this information at your fingertips.... You know I don't care about this stuff at all. But, in the interest of helping you keep all your information up to date, and current.... I stayed up ALL NIGHT last night, calling sources to track it all down for you. Here are the top schools for FBS head Coaches:
ALABAMA 4 Dabo Swinney Clemson (Current FBS Champion) David Cutcliffe Duke Mike Riley Nebraska Joey Jones South Alabama IOWA 4 Bob Stoops Oklahoma Jay Norvell Nevada Bret Bielema Arkansas Mark Stoops Kentucky GEORGIA 3 Mike Bobo Colorado State Kirby Smart Georgia Will Muschamp South Carolina HAWAII 3 Dino Babers Syracuse Ken Niumatalolo Navy Nick Rolovich Hawai'i WEST VIRGINIA 3 Doc Holliday Marshall Terry Bowden Akron Rich Rodriguez Arizona APPY ST. 3 Scott Satterfield Appalachian State Shawn Elliott Georgia State Everett Withers Texas State
Pretty amazing, huh? That the barren wasteland of cerebral-ness, the SEC, has two schools in the Top 6? And the coach of the current CFP Champion.... Who would have thunk it?
Don't feel too bad though, tiny little Mount Union is well represented on the list, with two...
Iowa State Matt Campbell Toledo Jason Candle

Apparently, I'm not the only one who doesn't really care about this... especially if it paints the SEC in a good light!

I like it. It doesn't quite fit BH's agenda. He is like Al Gore when presented with inconvenient facts.

That's all nice..thanks. My posts simply asked why the SEC can't produce coaching talent for the elite professional level of the sport...which demands the highest level of playing and coaching. I'm sure the SEC universities have also produced some Pop Warner coaches also.

On a related note Re: the cerebral side of football....interesting article in the 2/2/17 edition of USA Today about little DIII John Carroll Univ of Ohio. There are 7 full time staffers for the New England Patriots that played for that little school including offensive coordinator, Josh McDaniels. Several more are found working for other NFL franchises. The most famous John Carroll grad, of course, is legendary coach Don Shula. So why should little John Carroll U produce more Pro FB HOF head coaches than the 14 mega universities of the SEC combined ?

Building up a stable of coaches in the FBS ranks.
