Their biggest problem is they all think people tune in to watch them. Just give me the scores and leave your stand up routine at home.

Agree. Some have become unwatchable. Chris Berman could probably do a good job calling roller derby.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE let one of them be Desmond Howard!!!! I think ESPN is missing an opportunity to make some money here. They should hold an AUCTION, and let people VOTE on who leaves!
It could be a financial BOON to the struggling network.

This season I watched a lot of games but watched very little of the blathering idiots and their overrated opinions. It has actually done wanders to help me hate the SEC less.

ESPN is on the decline.
Internet live streaming. Several new sports cable and satellite TV networks. The NBA, NFL, PGA and several college conferences have their own networks.
All are eating into ESPN's market share.
I have noticed that ESPN no longer tracks all college box scores -- a seemingly minor expense.

Not only are they on the decline, they are locked in to a bunch of HUGE, ridiculously huge, long-term contracts that were built on a premise that is collapsing. The Longhorn Network is one prime example. Certainly, not the biggest one.
They are going to forced into bankruptcy, force majeure, or some kind of major re-structuring.

Mark May Mark May Mark May You got that right - there's no doubt he's been told and paid to hate Ohio State, as long as he can look in the mirror while he's cashing those checks to be a shill.
The other one is Mike Greenberg although I think I heard he's getting his own show. I can't listen to that show - he's such a sniveling, little twit. There is no credibility to his opinion. But he must represent the viewers ESPN wants to attract. I don't get it...Dick Vitale? His schtick was stale in the 1980's. Bilas does a good job but he thinks way too highly of himself. There are many, many, ESPN folks who could be put out to pasture and I wouldn't miss them.

hmmmmm.. I kinda like Greeney. His sniveling twit stuff sets up Golic, beautifully. Two guys I really like -The big guy, Trevor Matich, who played on BYU's make believe national champ team of 1984...a no nonsense CF studio analyst, and ex NFL coach/player Herm Edwards.
