Dadgum... I'm JUST ABOUT basketballed out.. and, Kentucky hasn't even played yet!
My brackets are ROLLING so far.. only missed two yesterday. Just ONE, so far.. today.
I will be SHOCKED if Kansas is not in the finals. They are the strongest team I have seen this year. This Dayton-Wichita game is a FUN ONE to watch. Two very active teams. Either will give Kentucky a real challenge.

Whew! Kentucky survives.... Barely. Not too bad, considering their top scorer this year, Monk...has been very quiet. He's playing with a bad back from an injury in the Arkansas game, Hopefully, another week will help.
Big 10 has really stepped up. Three teams in already. Could be more.
Xavier and Florida rolled to easy wins. Next week should be very exciting.

Look at Arkansas putting North Carolina to the test! WOW!
Maybe, the SEC was a little under-rated too?
Meanwhile, Rhode Island is leading Oregon. I still think PAC XII is not that tough this year.
And, Kansas just destroyed Mich St. Those Jayhawks are beasts, I tell you.... That game looked a lot like the game AT Kentucky. We hung with them for awhile, then... they just pulled away. I see KU in the Finals.

Here's a tip: NEVER post ANYTHING about BB that isn't finished yet.
North Carolina pulled it out.
And, USC is making the PAC12 look better too! (OOPS! Not over yet!)

Kentucky is about to get stomped Maybe... UCLA looked pretty strong.
For sure, they will if Monk doesn't start to play better.
So far, UK is winning without their best player.

Mick Cronin quit down the stretch. He just sat on the bench - he's usually up running around, making faces and trying to intimidate the refs (he's got the Napoleon complex) but not the second half of that game last night.
I was shocked by how well our Musketeers played. I don't know where that team has been all year but I hope they continue to show up!
A couple other comments - Wisconsin should have been a 4 seed and Minnesota should have been a 9 or 10. Wichita State and Dayton should have flipped seeds. The ACC was over valued by a long shot.
- The officiating has been horrible. I've said it before and I'll say it again; it's a difficult job but asking 60 year old men to try and keep up with 18-22 (or in the Oregon players case, 25) year olds is a losing scenario before you even start.
- And my other pet peeve - something needs to be done about the charging/blocking calls - they are embarrassing. This 'establishing positio'n bull is a joke. You reward a defender who got beat for just standing where the offensive player is heading toward the hoop. He's not defending - he's hoping to get knocked over and in many occasions he falls down on purpose to boot. It is a complete, bullshit call.
Other than that - go Muskies!

Doc< I think you low-balled Xavier with the intent to deceive us. I'm VERY disappointed in you! I sure did enjoy watching DUKE go down last night.... even with all the horrible officiating. I agree with you on many of the charging calls, however... I do believe a defender as a right to hold his ground, especially near the basket. In that Duke game last night, Duke's center mowed over a guy who was there EARLY, and made no move. They called blocking, and the SC player fouled out on the play. It was a BIG call at the time, that could have turned the game. In the end, the Gamecock's overcame it. Defenders claiming such ground AREN'T ALLOWED to attempt to defend. If they so much a flinch, they get the blocking call immediately. Three teams for the SEC and Big 10 and Pac 12. Not bad. I was sure hoping North Carolina would go out last night. It was close.

Wichita State was significantly undervalued in the seedings.
Over the past several years, no school compares with Butler in exceeding expectations.

Over the past several years, no school compares with Butler in exceeding expectations. At least ONE team in Indiana is doing well!
