Some good matchup tonight:
North Carolina vs Butler: I'll be cheering for Butler, I guess. I THINK UK would have a better chance against them. The Tar Heels are banged up, and aren't playing particularly well. But, they're still winning. That's scary. Sooner or later, they're gonna put it all together. I hope Butler sends em packing, but.... I wouldn't bet a nickel on it.
Oregon vs Michigan: This may be the most exciting game tonight. It's amazing that Oregon is playing this well after losing the "best" player. They have a solid, well-coached team. But, the Wolverines are riding the emotional wave. I think they keep it rolling one more round.
Gonzaga vs West Virgina: I have NOT Been impressed by Gonzaga thus far. They were lucky to hold off Northwestern. West Virginia is a BITCH to play in this Tourney. Huggy Bear has this team playing the way he likes. I think the ONLY non-Major conference team (Gonzaga) exits the tourney tonight.
Xavier vs Arizona : Gee... Zona was a #2 seed, and they get to play Xavier. Kentucky was #2 seed. We get to play UCLA. Some teams have all the luck. GREAT run by the Musketeers. But, the clock strike midnight on them, probably around midnight tonight.
It's a good night to have TWO TV's in action! |

Oregon - No self-respecting Ohio State fan would ever, EVER pull for *ichigan... Gonzaga - The Jesuits have to stick together, too... Xavier - Despite picking Arizona in my bracket, my job becomes easier with every Musketeer win... Now, pick the opposite of who I'm pulling for and you'll probably go 4-0! |

No but when he comes to games at the Cintas Center he sits in the next aisle with all the coaches wives. I've never encountered him but people tell me he's very cordial and always willing to sign autographs and pose for pictures. He sure gets into the games!!

Well... 0-1, but barely... Michigan loses by one, and had a wide open three at the buzzer. I REALLY though it was going in. I bet 60% of the viewers in Michigan thought so too.

I feel good about my opinions re: Kansas. In fact, I'm feeling better about UK, after seeing just how good Kansas is. Yes, they beat us.. in Rupp.. in a game where UK was healthy, and trying hard.. in front of the LARGEST, Loudest crowd (verified by the Guniness Book of Word Records) to ever watch a college basketball game. But, I can confidently say: Kentucky has gotten a LOT better since then. I don't know if it's ENOUGH better... but, I know we're better than we were then. |

Xavier vs Gonzaga is a really neat Elite 8 Matchup...I actually think Xavier has looked better in the tournament and will give the Zags a real run their money. I'll try and take a stab at tonight's games North Carolina vs Butler: Butler will PUSH Carolina, I don't think that they have the firepower to upset the Heels, but this will be a very close game going into the Final two minutes...I think North C arolina makes one or two more big plays and wins 78-74 UCLA vs Kentucky: UCLA is rolled in the second half against Cincinati, and I kinda feel like Kentucky is a wee bit over-rated this season.........I've got a real vibe that Kansas or UCLA is gonna win the whole thing, which sucks because the longer UCLA stays in this thing, the more I have to hear about Lonzo Ball......They beat Kentucky 89-83 I've gotta confess...I know very little about the next matchup! South Carolina vs Baylor...is kinda matchup B in the East Region, as I think whoever wins will be eliminated by the Wisconsin-Florida winner..... I'll go with Baylor 67-63 Florida and Wisconsin will be a great game as well, as both teams play great defense, and shoot well from the perimeter........I'm feeling like Florida, even though I'm not completely sure in that pick will get the win |

OMG! I just got around to checking the score... Xavier came back! WoW!!! I was watching it till pretty close to the end. When Zona pulled ahead by 7 there at the end, I decided to turn it in. Man... NEVER, EVER quit on a basketball game.
Congrats Doc! You should be able to raise ALL the money now!
