Nothing in baseball is better than the next two nights. I can't wait. Astros in Yankee Stadium should be epic.

Really glad to see the Astros make it. I recall talking with Bevo earlier this season and saying they would need to weather a losing streak to test their character. Well the Rangers over took them and then the Angels made a run at them but they were able to hang on. I hope they take out the Yankees tonight.

I'm sorry... but, I still can't get my head around the Astros playing in Yankee Stadium. I don't think I'll ever accept being in the hated American League. That's not REAL baseball.

I cooked a Boston Butt on my little smoker today. Started it before 5 am and finished about 3:30. Pulled the bone out with my fingers.

High and wide for the strikeout. Sweet but scary.

How is the test run going? Is all the I 5 out So far, great. We cut to 25 ppm today, zero tomorrow. Now, it gets interesting. I fell asleep at 2-0. Later, I saw the Astros skipper smiling. I guess..... Good news?

Hats off to Dallas Keuchel, a former SEC pitcher (Arkansas) for 6 excellent innings on 3 days rest which is semi- 'old school'. And congrats to the Astros and first year manager, A J Hinch, an ex Stanford player.

I think it was Cy Young who said you should pitch on three days rest and young pitchers would start getty stronger.
