Don’t cry for Alabama. They’ll be back next year.
Hat’s off to Dabo and the Tigers. They came to play.
Best two teams all year long ... now reduced to 1

Don't forget SEC post season rule............when SEC teams win PSEGs its because they tried to. When they loose its because they didn't try. Bama just didn't try. Clemson had nothing to do with this. Texas had nothing to do with dominating Georgia, UVA had nothing to do with toying with S.Carolina, '''UCF>Aub etc etc etc, etc., etc, etc, etc, etc,

That’s some pretty silly stuff. I’ve never heard ANYONE say a team “wasn’t trying”, in any game... certainly not in a playoff game.

I thought I learned the 'not trying' factor from you, Bevo. Maybe it was somebody else.

Thing I learned from the game is, if Clemson is playing Alabama in the CFP, put your money on the lower seed. They win every time. 4 years in a row.
BTW, the #1 CFP seed has yet to win the title.

Did anyone else see the promo over the weekend on ESPN where they actually say Alabama plays the only team to beat them in the college football playoffs for the national championship?! That's not only unbelievable but inexcusable, as well. I can understand a guy on a chat board making that mistake but leader in sports??? Their promotion of the SEC is embarrassing.
Anyway, congrats to Clemson and our resident Tiger fan.

So many talented kids in that game.
Bama's Jennings is so fun to watch. Incredible talent and game awareness by that kid.

A rarity indeed, many of us have never witnessed Bama's will and spirit broken in a game.
Clemson's OL built a wall around Trevor and made Saban pay for it. Zero sacks.
Saban knew it was over when he went for it on 4th down at his own 35. He knew his team needed every possession.
Clemson closes the game with a 14-play, 94-yard rive that ate up 10:04 of clock.

3 things kinda jumped out for me regarding the DPI game. 1 ) It was rare to see Bama lose so many one on one battles in space. Bama's recruiting usually guarantees that they win those battles.
2)) Bama is usually one of the best fundamental tackling teams in CF always wrapping up. Last night the tackling was a bit shabby....lots of arm grabbing stuff and banging without wrapping up. Anybody else notice this ?
3) Mike Locksley , who turned in one of Bama's best offensive coordinator jobs, maybe ever, may have had a portion of his mind on his new Maryland job over the past few weeks of game planning and in his halftime adjustments.

This game swung and was won on third down.
Clemson faced much larger yards to go on third downs — 7.7 to Bama’s 4.5 — but went 10-for-15 to Bama’s 4-for-13. And among those 10 conversions were passes of 26, 37, 62, and 74 yards. Bama won the other downs by a dramatic margin (67-41).
Trevor Lawrence threw for 240 yards on 3rd down alone.

No reason for the gloom and despair. Sometimes you just get whooped.

Let’s be clear Alabama football fans. Monday night was the worst loss not only under Saban, but I would argue in program history. On the biggest stage, with the best offense in school history, the Alabama Football team got it handed to them by Clemson. Alabama is really fortunate that they only lost by 28. Clemson easily could have dropped 60+ points on that defense.

Really ? I thought I learned the 'not trying' factor from you, Bevo. Maybe it was somebody else. “Not motivated” does not equal “not trying”. I would think not motivated and not trying are very closely related as far as winning CF games.
