So, looks like Jalen Hurts is headed to Oklahoma. Oklahoma is close to getting another National Title...if they can shore up the defense. They have played well in the last two playoff games
Alabama seems to be having a lot of staff turnover...I wonder if we are finally starting to see cracks in the Crimson Tide dynasty. Their defense didn't look as impressive this last year, and the blow out to Clemson was unexpected. Saban is 67 and not getting any younger...how long can Alabama maintain this level of performance? Georgia has been gaining ground and will eventually break through and beat Alabama (maybe!). Texas A&M is recruiting well and will eventually start to challenge the big dogs in the SEC
I wonder if we haven't seen the best days of the Alabama dynasty. Besides Clemson, and a couple titles from Ohio State and FSU, Alabama has ruled college football for a decade. I think we might see slippage soon...the Tide coming back down to earth

Alabama may have slipped a bit but they have already scheduled themselves in the playoffs Crossover games against UT and SoCar The three biggest games are LSU, TAM (both after a bye week) and Auburn (after West Carolina) are all spaced perfectly as is typical for BAMA (Good thing they got the Citadel off the Schedule) The toughest OOC game is against Duke and to no surprise it is in a so called neutral location about 1 hour away from the state of Alabama. With the committee in the tank for the SEC they are pretty much assured a max of 1 loss and the guarantee invite.

Meanwhile, Big Brave Buckeyes have scheduled POWERHOUSES like Florida Atlantic, Miami(Ohio), and Cincinnati.
Let's see who ends up with the toughest SOS by the end of the year.

I'm a little disappointed in next year's OOC schedule but starting in 2020 OSU has home and homes scheduled with Oregon, Notre Dame and Washington. The second year of the Washington home and home, they open with Washington and follow it up with Texas.
I'm not going to pump up UC as a juggernaut but that's a huge game for Luke Fickell - coming back home to take on the team he played and coached for for over 20 years.

Anyone who is capable of doing a little bit of research would clearly recognize that next year schedule is an anomaly. In the next 8 years the Buckeyes have 5 home and homes with BC, ND, Texas, Oregon, and Washington. They have 0 games scheduled against the FCS. With 9 conference games every year, it is pretty naive to criticize the Buckeyes for scheduling.

I merely pointed out that, OSU's schedule NEXT year is no stronger.

Point taken. The difference though is that Alabama's schedule next year is typical. It is a big advantage when you have your 3 biggest games on coming off of a bye week. Not sure how the SEC does their scheduling but it certainly works out for Bama.

Bama usually has at least one decent team OOC. That’s all they need to have a competitive SOS. And a competitive SOS is all they need to get to the CFP.... if they win.

I'm revising my thoughts on Bama slipping anytime soon...I thought Jeudy had gone to the draft. I think they're bringing back a phenomenal WR corps. They are loaded once again for next year also, I need some prednisone
