According to Yahoo Sports, the Pac 12 is considering kickoffs for 2 games against Big Ten opponents at 9 AM. This is the stupidest idea I have ever heard. The stands will be half empty, with hardly any students there at all. All because mighty TV (in this case Fox) wants these games for an East Coast noon kick off. Stop doing games for TV execs and concentrate on your fans.

This past Friday we actually decided to maker the Ohio State/Oregon game our annual road trip game for next season - Oregon is one of 4 states I've never been to. Then I read yesterday that Fox may try to make that game a 9 am Pacific time start - We'll still plan to go but I agree, 9 am is when high school reserve football is played!

I once heard a basketball coach say some day we will be playing basketball at midnight with a square ball to accommodate TV.

Ridiculous. I do, however, wish they'd play more games at 1:00. I'd like to see them more often. Or, at least 4:00 pm. These 10 pm EST starts are killers.
