1. Clemson -duh 2. Alabama -duh 3. LSU -flawless victory. This is the best LSU team since 2011 4. Ohio State -Fields? Ohio State looks pretty good
I also like Georgia a lot, and we'll see how Oklahoma plays tonight
I think there are 6 teams you can claim as true title contenders. Wisconsin and Washington might emerge soon as real contenders
Best Conference: Definitely the Big 10 so far. Maryland and Penn State hung 79 points on their opponents. The conference is very loaded
Heisman Watch: Fields is being whispered in news media. I was most impressed with Etienne for week 1

What does Ellinger have to do to get a little love? 4 TD’s in a half of play.
I thought Texas looked pretty darn good.
Guess we’ll find out next week.

Week 1 games are never as good, or bad, as they seem at the time.
That said, Alabama, Geogia, Ohio St and Clemson are who we thought they were. LSU, Texas, Michigan, OK and Auburn look like legit 2nd tier teams.
Oregon played a great game, despite the loss. They may win the P12.
I honestly think people are sleeping on North Carolina. The talent level isn’t atrocious, and I think people forget they lost 6 one-score games last year. A few of those were last possession and even the last minute or seconds. If Mack can change that 60 minute mentality and not much else, they could win 6 or 7 games.
ESPN amps up Heisman chatter and three in a row for OKlahoma. *checks notes* it was Houston, and Houston's defense couldn't stop Walhalla, SC, High school.
Dabo Swinney moved past Bobby Bowden to become the winningest coach (percentage) in ACC history, and Swinney has won 8 of his last 9 games against SEC schools entering this weeks game against Texas A&M.

When Satterfield was hired I was glad for him, but not really for Clemson. Babers and Satterfield are two outstanding coaches in the Atlantic.
Amazing that other ADs didn't look at either earlier.

Louisville fans are pretty encouraged with the way the team played against Notre Dame. We lost.. sure. But, the team played hard ALL the way through. And, had a few bright spots. Actually led 14-7 at one point.
After the complete disaster of last year, it was seen as marked improvement.

Agree - it was obvious Pass was not utilized properly last year.
