another 'playoff' question : so in this playoff system teams can play whoever they want including these 'irrelevant' games right in the middle of and the heat of the playoffs ? Do these irrelevant games count or are they literally irrelevant to advancing through the playoffs ? For example is Tennessee 0-0 in playoff relevancy or is Tennessee 0-1 ? Yes

The rest of the sports world needs to catch on to and adopt this clever championship playoff format where playoff opponents can be custom scheduled and the number of playoff games played is an option for each team as well as location of the playoff games. And while some teams play relevant playoff games in some weeks of the playoff other teams can choose to play irrelevant games in the same weeks of the playoffs. As a favor to me can you guys who 'get' this playoff system please post the overall championship playoff bracket . The big picture ( playoff bracket) will help this dumb guy better understand this championship playoff system. Thanks No team is FORCED to join any conference. No team is FORCED to play any other in OOC games. EVERY team makes these decisions for themselves.
For Tenn, beating an irrelevant team like Ga St does NOT advance their playoff hopes. Losing to such an irrelevant team ELIMINATES them from the playoff.
I actually could map out a playoff sequence for any team. For Texas, it's simple... EVERY game is a playoff game. We can't afford to lose ANY.
If we play well, but lose to LSU, we have a shot at a Mulligan, if there are any. But, it would require a bit of good fortune. (ie; key losses by other teams)

Just send me a bracket. That will do. No mumbo jumbo. All team sports championships on Earth have playoff brackets. I'm dumb but I can understand playoff brackets.

Still trying to figure out how some teams can lose 2 or even 3 playoff games and be champions of that playoff while other teams can win every single playoff game and not be champions. That combined with playoff teams allowed to custom schedule their playoff opponents, and no playoff bracket, whatsoever.....well, it's certainly a weird championship playoff system.

Hey Hen, I see a way to help you... At the Texas-LSU game last night, they had the CFP Trophy on the sideline.
When you see that? It's DEFINITELY a playoff game! :-)

Ina couple of weeks, Georgia plays Notre Dame play each other... definitely a playoff game. I bet the trophy will be there.
