Watching Watson play QB is so much fun. This guy has SUCH a competitive spirit. And, above all... I think he has that remarkable kind of mind that stays completely calm and functional even when under tremendous pressure. It's a common trait among many of the greatest QB's.
Johnny Unitas had it. He was the "King of Clutch". When the game was on the line, he delivered. Joe Montana had it. Never a shred of difference in his demeanor, no matter how much chaos was going on around him. (Bjorn Borg, and Roger Federer have it) Tom Brady has it. As the game intensifies, he just seems to become MORE focused.
Peyton Manning never had it. He got "happy feet". Peyton tried to overcome this with fantastic preparation. He was as good a QB as he could possibly be. But, this was one factor beyond his control. Andy Dalton SURE doesn't have it. DEER IN HEADLIGHTS!!!!
I guess, other guys have had the ability to remain calm with their thinking, but lacked the arm, or foot speed to excel.
When it all comes together in one human, the results are incredibly fun to watch.
The Texans have a lot of potential as long as they can keep Watson on the field.
