At least we cost Burrow the season % completion - 63% against us, so Colt McCoy still the highest ever at 76.7% lol. Maybe that's the reason Colt's Dad wouldn't let him play the second half against Bama?

Also think our D line dominance and lack of pass rush form DL finally caught up to us. I actually think the Clemson D played pretty well and Brent Venables's gameplan was good...In most years, this Clemson team would have won a championship. I think the LSU offense this year was playing at a level we've never really seen before. You really need an NFL-type defense to shut them down. The offense this year was too much for college level defenses.
Overall, I think 2019 measures as one of the most talented years in college football history. Clemson will be back next year and probably head into the playoffs undefeated again. Ohio State was phenomenal this year, possibly one of Ohio State's best teams. Alabama's offense with Tua was an extremely talented offense as well. Many of those guys will be playing Sunday
2019 was a high water mark in college football

It certainly didn't help that Pinckey (NG) got hurt in practice and couldn't play. Xavier Thomas (DE) sat for a while for disciplinary reasons. And then lost Skalski to tgting. Too many substitutions to make against a powerful offense. Venables used a lot of 3-man fronts - 3-1-7, 3-3-5....that hurts when 2 of the 3 are not there. I was disappointed that Venables didn't adjust some against the double slot fade routes. Left Terrell and Kendrick helpless in space. Burrow went 3-232-3 on these routes. Normally I'd trust them to hold up in 1x1 coverage, but not against LSU. Clemson basically ran these 3-x-x- schemes and dared LSU to run the ball and they didn't take the bait. Same deal for Texas in 2009. Saban was so proud of himself for drawing up a 4-1-6 that could stop their run game and allow him to play two-high safeties all game. "If I'm in 2-high dime they can't throw!" Then a freshman QB nearly beat him throwing to the same dude every play.

All teams run rubs, but this one was blatant OPI - no intention of running a route - Chase charges into Kendrick - Kendrick was to be covering Moss

You sound like a coach, cpa Here's another from coach CPA: If you're on playing on the boundary side, always take the outside leg, not the inside leg as Terrell does here. Force the RB back inside to the middle.

I listened to a Phil Simms QB assessment of Trevor from the Natty and he said Trevor was trying to throw too hard, so his elbow was dipping, so the ball sailed on him repeatedly. I believe it. He’s overthrown a few deep balls, but is generally spot on with ball placement.
Others have speculated that Trevor was hurt.
