Should be great if they can beat the Pats. Have you seen the clip of Clowney hitting Brady?
Was that great or what? I watched it several times.

Some really good games Sunday. I still say determining semi finalists in a sports championship by actually playing is better than determining semi-finalists with a boardroom discussion and vote. How so?

I'd rather vote the Falcons straight into the Super Bowl. That way they don't have to play Aaron Rodgers (kidding of course...) That would've been 'BCS' style...2 teams voted and computed right into the champ game. We don't need all this actual on field playing. I'm hoping the rest of world's sports will eventually catch on to the Cartel's system

Clowney could have really mauled him.

How so? The coaches and players decide, via actual head to head competition, and the only 'vote' belongs to the scoreboards at the quarter final sites. Don't need opinions from some puppet committee to give us a final four.

Brady was lucky. It could have been much worse.

I'm looking forward to the Packers and Cowboys. Figures.... The two games I was able to watch fully (On Saturday) were snoozers.... at least, in the second half.
Yesterday, I only got to really watch the first half of the Dallas-GB game. We had family game night... so, I was only able to keep up with the scores a little, and pause the " family game" for the few critical plays at the end.
That holding call on the 2-pt conversion was hard to take. Was it holding? Yea... Was it the most blatant hold you'll ever see in a game? NO!
Would that call have been made against Pittsburg, or New England? NO FREAKING WAY!
My dreams of a KC-GB super bowl died... But, now I am 100% on board the Aaron Rogers Express!

Don't need opinions from some puppet committee to give us a final four. If the NFL had 128 teams how would you do it? Depends on number of Divisions. FCS has about the same # of teams and DIII has twice as many teams as FBS and those divisions have figured out how to crown a champion without 'voting' in a final four. Do you think Coastal Carolina would be NCAA D1 national baseball championships if it had to rely on a beauty contest vote just to get to the Semi-finals Competitive sports, Hero, is about playing, not voting.

I have looked at the way baseball teams get into the playoffs and included in the process is biding to the NCAA. I don't favor that method at all.

The 4 division champions in each conference would play a 2-week series to determine the conference champion. The 4 conference champions would play a 2-week series for the NFL championship. 8 teams would play one postseason game. 4 would play two. 2 would play three. 2 would play four. A total of 15 games over 4 weeks. It wouldn't be much different than the current NFL playoffs, which involve 12 teams over 4 weeks.

Can I butt in ?......Of course there wouldn't be the parity if pro teams were permitted to 'recruit' championships. Any long term domination by an NFL franchise would reflect true coaching genius.

Agreed Other than the fact that they all play American Football there is very little to compare.
