Clemson managed to get a regional host slot, despite a late season drop off. It's all about sites and ticket sales.
The Clemson regional is paired with the Oregon State regional - OSU probably the best team in the country and they should emerge from their regional .
Vandy represents a challenge in the Clemson regional.

Vandy represents a challenge in the Clemson regional. Louisville lost 4 of their last 5 games, and still gets to host a regional. Its a joke. The NCAA cares little about fairness. |

This is one of my favorite events and college championships. Delaware went 0-2 in the Lubbock regional but did take national power, Arizona, to 12 innings before losing 6-5. NCAA championships aren't perfect but they are light years superior to this BCS and CFP crap simply because they are determined by actual on field elimination competition...the essence of sport. Coastal Carolina is the current D1 national champion coming from the Big South conference because it was 'allowed' to compete for that title...on the baseball fields. Does anybody who believes in the opinionated mythical shit actually think CC would ever have been 'voted' directly into a final or semi-final game for the same opportunity  Playing =real. Voting = mythical. Hey, the Softball WCWS is pretty exciting too, imo, although I wish the NCAA could have formulated more inter-conference match-ups rather than B12, P12 and SEC teams playing conference opponents. Playing is better than voting |

My biggest concerns don't revolve around the number of conferences. Although, I do find that number to be hysterical. ALL of our baseball conferences are "above average". :-) |
