Pretty much got 'em... #10 - The debut of Rappers Delight by the Sugarhill Gang on Billboards Top 40 list, the first rap/hip hop song to make the charts. #9 - The premiere of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony in Vienna. #7 - Johnny Cash plays Walk the Line at Folsom County Prison. # 4 - Bob Dylan goes electric at Newport Music Festival which basically signaled the end of the folk music era. Damnit Jim! You never gave me a chance. Beethoven directing the 9th Symphony... Which he NEVER heard, and is the BEST piece of music ever written, was THE #1 moment in ALL of music history, bar none.... I had it. I had Johnny Cash's prison concert too... I agree on Rappers Delight, Loved it when it came out. Changed music. Rapper's Delight was the best song EVER about Kaopectate.

It was a Friday afternoon and word got around that the Jewish fraternity, I believe they were called the Sammies, was having a party with a full supply of hookers on board. $10 got you in the door and all the beer you could drink. The way it worked, the girls would come out one at a time and strip and the highest bidder could take their lady to a back room and complete the negotiation. My room mate stopped at the bank on the way over to have some cash on hand. I just paid the $10 minimum and enjoyed the show. Anyway, the song they stripped to was Rappers Delight. I think I may have stopped at the record store afterward and bought it - the extended version was about 18 minutes long.

I was always broke in college. We had the long version of too... It was like a BIG single...on vinyl. We had it my Junior year (I think)... when I shared an apartment on Riverside Drive in Austin with three other guys. We had a few parties, that featured a bathtub filled with hooch. But, no paid strippers. (did have an unpaid one a few times!)
