You don't have to convince me about Meyer's greatness, doc. I believe his career winning % is 3rd best ALL TIME among FBS level HCs, and 6th best among all NCAA HCs ALL TIME. ( Saban's is 66th ) . These coaching stats and comparisons are usually based on a minimum 10 years coaching so we'll have to revisit Harbaugh in a few years but, agree, he won't catch Urban. The greatest and most difficult to beat HC in CF history in none other than Larry Kehres of Mt Union ( .929 success rate and 11 'real' national titles ).

Saban has lost 22.6 % of his games Yea, that Saban guy really sucks. I wouldn't hire him to coach my local Pop Warner team! :-)

That, compared to Urban Meyer, Saban is third rate? I still wouldn't hire Nicky. I don't have $10MM at my disposal. Shame though, I think my pop warner team would be really benefit from his coaching.

Had you been sipping that good Bulleit bourbon, Bevo, before coming up with that weird 'third rate' comment ?

(ie: Urban being 6th best all time, Saban being 66th). Sounded to me like you were going out of your way to make Saban look bad, in comparison. There are a WHOLE LOT of coaches who are far worse, and they got no mention. Why pick on Nicky, rather than simply pointing our Urban's excellent record?

Saban vs Meyer is a great debate and fun. They really share a similar coaching trail " Meyer ) BGSU > Utah > Florida > Ohio St. Saban ) Toledo > Mich St. > LSU > Alabama However, along the way Meyer has proven more difficult to beat, losing 14.9 % of his games while Saban has lost 22.6 % of his games How about Meyer vs Harbaugh - I'm really tired of that attention whore - he's a perfect fit for TTUN because he makes it so easy to hate them. I almost felt sorry for them when RichRod and Hoke coached them - almost!
Anyway, Harbaugh has a college career coaching record of 49-27, Meyer's is 165-29. So if Harbaugh goes 116-2 in his next 118 games he will tie Meyer in the same number of games. At TTUN, Harbaugh is 20-6, Meyer is 61-6 at Ohio State. So Harbaugh needs to go 41-0 to tie Meyer's start at OSU.
I was listening the college guys on Sirius radio and the one predicted TTUN will not make the playoffs this year but will be in the next 3 or 4 seasons because of Harbaugh and how well he recruits. Well, Urban Meyer has had a better recruiting class every yea,r head to head, and will clearly have the better class in the upcoming year - the class he's assembling now will probably be #1. Is he going to forget how to coach? I don't get it, the records speak for themselves.
I thought Lane Kiffin was the biggest attention whore but I think Harbaugh has him licked. Pun intended
