You actually know what rational people hope? Quite remarkable. Junior did take the bait! That is why he attended the meeting. Not remarkable at all. Just common knowledge, Herd, common knowledge....
No news of early morning raids, no-knock warrants and the like so far this morning. Potential targets getting to eat breakfast at home, I guess.

Manafort and his associate instructed to surrender to Mueller. Yep.
An much to the dismay of Dems and neverTrumpers, it's for business issues that have nothing to do with Trump's campaign, as I suspected.
Not hard to call, based on the previous raid of his home.

Common knowledge? Too funny. That would give you a ready excuse to add anything your mind could possibly create, no matter how weird, to complete this sentence: “It is common knowledge that most rational people think that...” The fact is, without a poll or survey, you have no idea what most “rational people” think about anything. And, I seriously doubt if you can find a poll or survey that filters out the irrational people.

Have you read the indictment? If not, how could you possibly know whether or not it has anything to do with the Trump campaign? I continue to doubt that there was any collusion, or efforts to collude (other than Junior’s amateurish fumblings) between the Trump campaign and the Russian government to undermine the integrity of the election. But, my mind remains open to wherever the evidence leads. However, there is little doubt that the Russian government was engaged, on its own initiatives, to meddle in and interfere with the U.S. election.

Manafort could have been indicted years ago.

The best evidence we have so far of "Collusion with the Russians" is that showing Hillary's campaign and the DNC PAID for a fake Dossier that was built with direct input from top Russian officials. Steele actually went to Moscow (bought his ticket with Democrat money, no doubt) and met with Putin's cronies.
As for Mannafort? No one know yet, what the charges are, or for when? Could be important, or not. The fact that they allowed him to *think about it* all weekend suggests to me that Mannafort chose not to accept any deal Mueller was offering. But, we really don't even know that yet.

Ah... so now we get a glimpse? Should be interesting... looks like old news. Have to wait till people get through ALL of the charges.

You had not read the indictment before you reached your conclusion. Even now that the charges have been released, you can’t draw that conclusion because Manafort’s activities cited in the indictment continued through September 2016, which includes the full period of his association with the Trump campaign.

Looks like Tony Podesta / Podesta group may be next... I will admit that initially I didn’t expect this investigation to go anywhere. However, it now appears that there will almost certainly be more shoes to drop. As I said recently, I am now expecting there to be a pox on both houses. Keep in mind that there would be no special counsel if Trump had not fired Comey for ostensibly looking into Trump’s connections with Russia. Dripping with irony.

Fusion GPS was doing commissioned opposition research on Republicans (at the behest of Rubio or Bush, we don't yet know). But this was discontinued in April 2016 after Rupert Murdoch's #1 (Jeb) and #2 (Rubio) candidates dropped out.
AFTER April 2016, the Clinton Campaign and DNC then began financing Fusion GPS to create the “Russian Dossier”. Christopher Steele began his "research" in June 2016 – The “Russian dossier” did not start assembly until commissioned by Clinton and the DNC. This distinction is important. The media is desperately trying to conflate the two.
