I think they should move ahead of 2-loss teams
They have one of the hottest offenses in the country, they should be part of the conversation for the playoff

Uh no. They have played NO ONE. OOC FIU, Maryland, and Austin Peay. Plus only an 11-game schedule. They won't even have the 13th data point with the CCG.

Maryland looked pretty good when we played them.
But, playing two games less than everyone is a killer.
I think the committee has intentionally ranked them lower than they deserve to prevent them from getting any expectations.

Ya, but we're talking undefeated vs. two-loss teams I would jump them over Penn State, Ohio State, TCU and USC for sure. I think I would park them behind Notre Dame and Auburn, and both those teams could easily be 3-loss teams by the time the weekend is over They should be part of the discussion for sure if they win out

They would be in the conversation if they'd played a full schedule. A win against GaTech would have helped their resume. Hurricane games SHOULD BE re-scheduled. Missing a game kills just about any teams chances of being in the CFP.

What if the best team in FBS plays a weak schedule? Should the best team in FBS be denied an opportunity to compete in the CFP? What if a few years back UCF had scheduled away games for 2017 at Nebraska, at Oregon State, at FSU and at Baylor, and won all four games? Should the measure be a team’s schedule or how it performs vs. the teams on its schedule? Is it possible for a dominating win over a weaker opponent to be more impressive than a close win over a stronger opponent? What have we learned from the NYD games between G5 teams with weak schedules and P5 teams with strong schedules?

I think the committee has intentionally ranked them lower than they deserve to prevent them from getting any expectations. Some teams get by on the eyeball test ( Bama) although not playing top competition. UCF doesn't even remotely get that privilege, so I agree, that team is intentionally buried but If CFU makes the New Years Six it will be a very tough out for some hyped name brand.

But, we do know how UCF has performed vs. the teams on its schedule.
