Bengals defense is banged up and not very good, plus...they quit today. Andy Dalton is a back-up who benefits by having one of the top 5 receivers in the league to throw to...unfortunately AJ Green is hurt. Pretty predictable what happened today. Sad display by Cincy. Not meant to take away from the Saints win, they are very good.

Speaking of that many people didn't take note that the Browns defense was pretty banged up, during their four game losing streak, along with their receiving core....in their first game that most of the Browns starters came back healthy...….they dominated a decent Atlanta team. The Brownies first teamers are absolutely legit, they are just young and don't have the depth yet to sustain critical injuries.....I do think that in a year or two though the Browns are going to be good

I'm afraid the Bengals are stuck in mediocrity as long as Mike Brown is around and once he's gone, his daughter takes over so there's that to look forward to.

I put $50 on them to win the SB, back in July, at 22-1 odds. I think, today their odds are something like 4-1.
I also bet on Jacksonville, but... any chance they had took a BIG hit yesterday... due to the closest 'fumble' call you'll ever see. It was a replay OVER-RULE, called from the booth, AFTER another play had already been run. I still can't believe they over-turned the call on the field (Down by contact).... in a ruling that ENDED the game. It was highly questionable.
Jags were already in easy FG range to tie the game up. Could easily have scored a TD to win. By, replay officials in New York decided to kill their chances.

Jacksonville has imploded this year. They need Fournette to be healthy...

As of now, the Bengals are in the playoffs....they aren't mediocre. They just ran into a Who Dat buzzsaw I don't know how many Bengals games you watch but trust me, they are mediocre and closer to bad than good. They've given up over 500 yards of offense the past 3 games, they are rated dead last in team defense and without AJ Green their offense sputters. They're 5-4 right now and will most likely be 5-5 after this weekends game in Baltimore. They'll split against Cleveland, lose at Pittsburgh, lose at the Chargers, beat Oakland and Denver. That's 8-8; that's mediocre.
New Orleans is a great team but don't base their superiority on the win over the Bengals. Over the Rams the previous week? Hell yeah; but not the Bengals.

I totally agree with you... the Bengals are clearly, "mediocre" Especially after all the injuries of the past couple of weeks.
