After this weekend the SEC will likely be the winningness program against the FCS this season. They are 12 - 0 and with 4 games on the agenda and also other juggernaut matchups that include the Citadel, Idaho Potatoes, Middle SW Eastern Tennessee State, Liberty Freedom Fighters, the newly revamped UAB program, Rice soon to be crowned for the Worst FBS program this year, and last but not least the University of Tennessee Chattanooga who has the best record vs P5 Tennessee Schools. When they flex there muscle this weekend with 11 completely worthless and unwatchable games they should prevail with a perfect 16 - 0 record.
SEC 16 - 0 ACC 13 - 0 B12 6 - 1 P12 9 - 0 B1G 3 - 0
Hats off to the SEC for coming up with perfect formula for getting the maximum teams into the so called unbiased Playoff that consist with a group of 12 biased individuals that collectively cancel each other out. The other conference need to follow suit 1) Prohibit all teams from schedule no more than 9 games per year versus P5 teams. (SEC was 100% on this one, B1G screwed this one up big time) 2) Schedule at least 1 game per team vs FCS, try to get a second game if possible. (SEC was again 100% on this one) 3) It is always good to finish strong so try to schedule your weakest team the second to last week of the season (SEC was only 50%, so room for improvement) 4) Limit the P5 OOC games and never under any circumstance play an OOC P5 game on the road (They were almost perfect he but MissSt blew this one for the SEC)
These simple steps will minimize OOC losses as the Idiot 12 in the conference room will have no concept of these scheduling practices that will ensure that the ESPN\SEC network gets the matchups that they want. In the meantime, the entire ESPN Network puppets will be pushing this agenda down our throats for the next 3 weeks to make sure the Idiot 12 make the correct I mean desired outcome.

Your AD, Gene Smith, is on the committee. Is he one of the "Idiot 12"?
Only TWO members on the committee from the SEC. Are the other 10 incapable of making a 'correct' decision?

I'm afraid that's a loaded question and pretty sure there are many OSU fans who would, in fact, say yes; Gene is one of the Idiot 12.
I don't agree - I think he's done a pretty solid job at OSU - especially in his coaching hires. But there some who feel he's made a few questionable decisions.

Just doing some venting for fun. Personally, I don't like any selection process that appears to have very little criteria other than what 12 people think are the best. Secondly, we are coming down to the nitty gritty part of the season and the SEC decides to take the week off.
In regards to the Idiot 12, Gene Smith was clearly an idiot for being part of the selection process. tOSU is in a very good state right now and will likely be in the discussions during the selection process. He knew that if tOSU was in the discussions he had to leave the room. Therefore we have 2 SEC members and no Big 10 members in the discussions. Regardless about what anyone says, every one of the Idiot 12 have biases. When discussing OSU you likely had 2 members with strong biases for Alabama and the other 9 were likely more neutral. In no way am I saying that Ohio State deserved over Bama I just want an unbiased system in place prior to the start of the season based on computer metrics to determine the 4.
If you go to the massey rating composite which uses 119 computer rankings to rank the top 4 we would have had 2017 Clemson, UGA,tOSU, Bama (Oklahoma out) 2016 Bama, Ohio St, Wash, Clemson 2015 Bama,Clemsson, Oklahoma, tOSU (Michigan St out) 2014 Alabama, Oregon, TCU, Ohio St (Florida St out)

SEC 16 - 0 ACC 13 - 0 B12 6 - 1 P12 9 - 0 B1G 3 - 0
This is telling and I'm glad Ohio State and the BIG 10 are at the bottom of this list. On the other hand, the BIG 10 is basically in the same footprint as the MAC (or vice versa) and play many non-conference games against the Miami's, Ball State's, Eastern Michigan's, Western Michigan's of the world. But Eastern did beat Purdue which thumped Ohio State so at least those teams are capable of being competitive. I guess my point is the SEC and ACC have FCS teams, the BIG has the MAC.

The game within the game.
Can you take someone else’s rules and beat them at their own game?
I love that challenge.

Like I said before, we left the BCS for nothing but a poll. The smallest poll ever used which magnifies bias because of few voters.

My problem with the BCS was that the ultimate authority that determined who played were the opinion polls. If it were left up to the computers then we would have a different matchup in at least 5 of the last 10 games.

I don’t disagree but now we have a poll so small that we all have to wonder about its legitimacy. No computer input whatsoever.

I think there is a significant difference. The BIG has the MAC and the SEC has the Sunbelt. Then you have an extra league game for the BIG that the SEC does have but instead they add an FCS team.

I don't think any reasonable CF fan would deny that the SEC is the most cowardly scheduling league out there...but hey, cowardly scheduling pays in the mythical system.
If the SEC feels this essential need to play all these lower division teams it should, imo, at least schedule the stronger FCS programs ...ND State, JMU, E.Wash etc...not bottom dwellers of that sub division that they prefer to bring in.

Every team, in every conference ... Does what THEY THINK is best... For THEM. If tte B1G could play FCS teams and still have a SOS strong enough to make the CFP? They'd do it... In a heartbeat.

I don't know about that, Bevo. There is an integrity factor here. The BIG knows how competitively fraudulent that scheduling crap is, while the SEC has no shame whatsoever.

The BIG knows how competitively fraudulent that scheduling crap is,
And yet, they still allow it? And DO it?
Doesn't say much for the B1G.
