...who do you let into the playoff? This will be most likely the #4 slot
Oklahoma will have only lost to Texas, and now has a chance to avenge that loss.
Ohio State would have a bigger win in Michigan, but an uglier loss, and some very close games.
Close call imo

Nah... It'll be the Bama-UGA loser.
Both of those teams are BETTER Than Ohio State or OU.
Anyway, Texas will beat OU AGAIN if we get a chance. Can never get enough of beating the sucky Sooners.

Both teams better pray for Alabama to beat Georgia.

I think Texas beating Oklahoma twice might be harder than you think

Both teams better pray for Alabama to beat Georgia. Does Alabama get in if they lose? Especially over a 1-loss Conf. Champ Oklahoma or Ohio State? Alabama is good, but I don't think they are guaranteed in that situation
Remember, this is the committee and they have no rules....could be picking names out of a hat for all we know

My thinking is... How impressive were the wins and how bad was the loss? Ohio State winning ugly and losing ugly won’t stack up with Bama losing to Georgia or Oklahoma losing to Texas. I think they would have a much better chance against a two loss Georgia. JMO

Are you serious ? Does Bama get in ? Losses don't apply to Bama

Well... they did Last Year... in much the same situation. Alabama is the best team in the country right now. No one not named Clemson is really all that close. Much depends on HOW the remaining games go. If Ohio State-Michigan play a sloppy, low scoring game? The winner would definitely NOT be guaranteed to be selected over a Bama team that loses a close, well played game against Georgia. ALL of the 1-loss conference champs will end with schedules that are weaker than Bama's, and with losses that would be uglier than Bama's. Who would be shocked to see the same result as last year? All that said: This is still a game played by very young men. Strange things can happen. Auburn might decide to show up in the Iron Bowl. Key players could be injured, or get themselves kicked out of a key game. Still a LOT of playing to be done.

It depends on who wins the Big Ten. It is "possible" that Alabama (with a loss to UGA) "could" get in ahead of tOSU (as Big Ten champ), but it is not guaranteed.
If Michigan wins, it is not possible (assuming no other major upsets). Knowing the way the committee thinks (and has operated in the past), we can make some very solid assumptions.
Assuming Clemson, Notre Dame, Georgia, and Michigan win out, and Alabama only drops the UGA game:
Notre Dame will be ahead of Michigan based on better record and head-head.
Michigan will be ahead of Georgia based on reasonably similar schedules, equal records, and Michigan only losing to an undefeated team by 7 points in the first game of the season, while Georgia lost to a two-loss team (albeit a good two loss team) by 20 points mid-season.
Georgia will be ahead of Alabama.
So, you would have:
#1 Clemson #2 Notre Dame #3 Michigan #4 Georgia
That would put Clemson-Georgia in the Orange and Notre Dame-Michigan in the Cotton.
Alabama would be in the Sugar against Texas, Oklahoma, or West Virginia.

Somehow Oklahoma has gotten left out of this converstion
Alabama isn't going to lose to Georgia
This convo is
Oklahoma vs. Ohio State
Oklahoma is the one team that is hanging out there that could surge into the conversation fast, especially if you start comparing Ohio State with Oklahoma
However, I don't think OU jumps Michigan

Unless Ohio State wins the next 2 games like they beat Wisconsin in the BIG Championship game in 2014, I don't think they have a chance to make the playoff nor do I think they would fare well. They might just put UCF or WSU in over OSU.

Oklahoma's defense is their Achilles heel.
Giving up way too many points week-in and week-out.

Funny - Oklahoma and Ohio State have the top 2 statistical offenses in the country but their defenses are #90 and #75. Michigan and Clemson, conversely have the top 2 rated defenses in the country - no wonder these teams are ranked where they are. Oklahoma and Ohio State just gave up 40 and 51 points to teams with lame duck coaches who don't have much to play for but pride.
What I can't accept is that Ohio State would whiff on so many 4 and 5 star defensive players - it's crazy. It has to be a coaching situation. That and the Buckeye linebackers are truly the worst I've ever seen in the 50 years I've been watching Ohio State football...and they have 4 and 5 star players below them on the depth chart, I just don't get it.

I doubt Oklahoma could pass a one-loss Alabama. Alabama has played a (slightly) tougher schedule and has been dominating. OU has just been getting by the last few weeks. They would have to have some very dominating wins in the next two weeks to even be in the conversation.
