I just read that the Canes and Gators signed a home and home for '24-'25
I know its sort of an old rivalry, but...why do the Gators schedule Miami? I feel like Miami always has an edge in this series
And I am calling a Canes upset next weekend
Florida has HIGH expectations, and Miami is supposed to be rebuilding or whatever their doing
I think Miami will come out loose and they might have one of the best LB corps in the nation. Just not a good opener for Florida IMO
Florida better live up to the hype and dominate, or else they might be playing with fire

Florida plays 50% of its non conference schedule in the FCS. But, the pollsters will reward the Gators for that.

Besides a big play, Miami has dominated

The first half was a comedy of errors.
I think at one point after receiving a punt, Miami had 5 penalties in a row - 3 false starts, one DoG and an illegal sunblock that backed them up to their own 2.
OL performance by Miami was the worst I’ve seen since Houston streamrolled Louisville.

Sorry I missed game comments. I would have been here with you guys. I watched the Gators and was glad they found a way to win. I thought the game would be crazy with the inexperienced o lines. Florida ran too many high risk plays behind that line. The Canes good LBs were able to push Franks into uncomfortable situations. Florida is overrated, at least until the line gets more experience. Watching this sloppy game brought the words of Vince Lombardi to my mind... "Football is two things. It's blocking and tackling. I don't care about formations or new offenses or tricks on defense. You block and tackle better than the team you're playing, you win."

Had dinner with a neighbor who works in the UP of Michigan - he was home this weekend so it was good to hang out, he’s a great cook - made a Mexican fiesta, I supplied the Pacifico!
Anyway, got home in time to watch most of the second half - both teams tried to give it away but Miami was obviously more successful. Messy game to say the least, but football is back!!!

I’m so glad college football is back, but both of these teams are bad and whoever thinks UF is a top 10 team is crazy. They shouldn’t be ranked at all
