When you look at great OOC matchups for the next 10 years, you just don't see a lot of Big 10 vs. SEC matchups
Big 10 teams will play "around" the SEC....for example, you have Big 10 matchups vs. Texas, Oklahoma, Miami, Virginia Tech...
I don't see any games against Alabama, Florida, or LSU
I tend to think most Big 10 teams are afraid of traveling to SEC stadiums. It's really a cowardly OOC strategy
FSU, Clemson, Texas, and Oklahoma all have the balls to step into Death Valley in Baton Rouge. UCLA is coming too
Most Big 10 schools just don't have the courage

Oh for God sake, the SEC would rather play at home against The Citadel, Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina, Lamar and the like. The issue is the Big Ten would play home and homes, the SEC wants home games or southern neutral sites. It’s that simple - jeez, you’re really trolling on this one.
Where did Auburn play Oregon? Alabama play Michigan a few years ago? I give LSU credit for going north to play Wisconsin but that was even played at Lambeau...and the Badgers won.

And to illustrate my point here is a chart of the last time SEC teams played north of the Mason Dixon line and when they may play north again. Only 6 have games scheduled with 3 against ND. Next year Auburn does play at PSU - good for them.
The post about Georgia got me curious and I decided to look up the last time every SEC program played a game in the north. I did not count bowl games, only regular season games, as those are the ones these programs actively scheduled, not fell into because of their season.
* = Neutral Site

LSU has played in the Carrier Dome and even at Husky Stadium in Seattle, so they'll travel Wisconsin is the only team in the Big 10 with balls. Penn State has a home and home with Auburn, but we'll see how they feel after they visit Jordan-Hare. Penn State also has a date in Blacksburg in 2020 I just don't get why the Big 10's big 2 don't man up and schedule some southern teams. It seems more like avoidance or fear

You’re dead wrong. Ohio State should be playing a home and home with Tennessee right now and they cancelled it - look it up. OSU had to play FAU instead. OSU plays at Oregon this coming season. They just went to Oklahoma a couple years ago. They play Notre Dame and Texas in the near future. Your comments are laughable. I showed you the last time SEC teams played north of the MD line - some date back to the 1980’s. They dont want to play up north. They want home and neutral games. I don’t care and I don’t blame them - they play tough teams in conference. Quit trying to stir up things that don’t exist.

Probably just the opposite, evil. SEC OOC scheduling is the most cowardly in all of CF.....very very common knowledge. I'd like to see SEC teams schedule road games in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota etc for late November or early December.
the SEC and B10 have played 163 football games between them.......most all in SEC land and SEC sissy weather ( many bowls). The average score for those 163 games has been SEC team 25, B10 team 22. That looks like about a field goal difference considering all the SEC advantages.
I think ol' Evil is just trying to stir some fun debate stuff up, which is good, to pass the off season.
For more fun how about an academic profile comparison between the B10 and SEC ?
What I'd really like to see is more regular season scheduling between the P12 and SEC because they don't even have many bowl formulated match ups.

Alabama has future games against USC and Miami. Home and home scheduled Texas Oklahoma Wisconsin Notre Dame Florida State USF Virginia Tech West Virginia Georgia Tech That list is not that impressive considering how many seasons it covers. Bama will be playing far far more home rent-a-wins vs FCS and weak G5 teams in that same time period...GUARANTEED ! IN THAT SAME 15 YEAR PERIOD ALABAMA WILL BE PLAYING APPROXIMATELY 45 OOC HOME CUPCAKES......so laugh away , boys, laugh away without even having a clue of the relativity of Bama's OOC scheduling ideology.
Bama will easily increase its series record vs USC to 8-2 come next season.

I'd be afraid of playing SEC teams. I assume B1G schedulers are at least as smart as me.

For the record I just want to say I don’t care who teams from the SEC or any other conference plays - the SEC has the toughest in conference schedules of any conference, especially in the west. I just think the post that started this thread is completely inaccurate and has no basis for truth, especially when I had data to support my side. And again, I’m not knocking how any conference schedules - their way has worked pretty well for the SEC.
I would like to commend Coach O at LSU. Prior to the playoff seedings camping out, Coach Day lobbied to be #1 and expressed disappointment when Ohio State was dropped to #2. Dabo made a comment to the effect that Clemson won the year before, hadn’t lost and dropped to 3 so good for us. Coach O said before the rankings were announced that he didn’t care, just tell us where to play and we’ll be there. After hearing each coach inside I thought LSU was going to win because their coach wasn’t worrying about things he couldn’t control.
Anyway, enough on this subject for me. I shouldn’t have fallen for the troll.
