Clemson & Georgia will play Sept. 4, 2021 in Charlotte
It will be 1st meeting since 2014.
East Carolina vs. Appalachian State, originally scheduled for Charlotte on Sept. 4, could move to Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, or another date, source said
Good strategy for winner and loser.

I would hope BAMA would get a mention with bowls. Not to mention playing a number of conference championship games against the best in the East. Certainly, although I'm not as up on Bama bowl opponents as I am OSU's...Buckeyes are also 4-1 in BIG championship games. I am glad you brought this up doc, because the last Bama bowl opponent was Michigan, and they lost...which brings the whole conversation around to the original point of the thread. Big 10 teams avoid SEC teams because they lose alot. Badly
It's like a primal fear kicks in when they schedule OOC teams and SEC teams are mentioned...for most Big 10 schools, the fight-or-flight response kicks in, and it's mostly flight

You're free to believe what you want to believe. Personally, I think it's a 2 way street. Since the beginning of this century there have only been a couple SEC teams play Big Ten teams on the road - Alabama and LSU. Some SEC teams haven't played north of the Mason Dixon line since the mid-80's or earlier. Until they played ND a couple years ago, Georgia hadn't played a northern game since 1965. And as I pointed out about 4 pages ago, the BIG Ten and Pac 12 have a natural rivalry which dates back to the beginning of the Rose Bowl so you're more likely to see those conferences play each other in non-conference games. Last year NW played Stanford, MSU played ASU, Nebraska played Colorado. OSU plays at Oregon next season. So it goes both ways. This is like politics, I'm not going to influence your thoughts and you're not going to influence mine so it's really a waste of time on something neither of us can prove.

Clemson is practically an SEC team Clemson drops Wyoming and picks up UGA neutral. Clemson and UGA already had a home-and-home starting in 2024.

Not really directed at you.

Something to keep in mind regarding all the scheduling conversation :
Playing tough opponents and scheduling tough opponents are not exactly the same. Opponents in bowls and conf champ games, plus locations, are assigned .....not chosen. Going on the road and actually Choosing to play tough opposition shows balls and intent.

Well that sucks on the Clemson-UGA game on the same date as App-ECU. We were first and don't want to move.
