On our recent honeymoon my wife and I went to Orlando for a week, read a story about the Corona Virus hitting Tampa, and chuckled a little bit about all the hand soap and toilet paper Bering gone off Florida shelves, now just one week later this is nuts. I started reading the Left Behind book series about the world ending and was reading it on breaks on the honeymoon I picked a hell of a time to start reading it again! I have mixed thought about Corona, being a younger man the virus seems to act like the normal flu and run its course with my age bracket, but I'm terrified of carrying it to my parents and older peers by accident. Either way my whole point of view is people have to calm down, g Hoarding cleaning supplies to stay healthy does me little good, if all my neighbors get sick because they can't get the supplies to be sanitary. If this is a pandemic we can defeat it faster if we're all, moving in one direction rather than moving in our own. That said in an age of social media try telling to the general public, people are panicking and that has me more worried than anything. I disagred with some of the gentlemen's opinion on this board about College Football, but in retrospect thats a minor matter and I hope to God everyone on here stays healthy. I've got,my own theory on this thing, and if I'm right unfortunately it could get worse before it gets better. I know some of you may not like to hear this, but I'm gonna say some prayers for all the people on this board and hopefully if you dont mind remembering me tonight that would be cool too. God bless you guys stay safe

Well said - I think America shows its best in difficult situations. I hope this turns out to be a shining example. Cut the political crap (and that's the only time you'll see me say anything political) and come together as Americans. This is not a time for divisiveness. We can get through this together.

This is a test of the resiliency of our culture. Can we survive this as well, or better than Communist China? Time will tell. I think we will.
I 100% agree: It's NOT a time for political grandstanding. But, it's also an election year. I'm not sure our leaders (on either side) are capable of focusing on solutions to the problem, rather than finding ways to make the other side look bad. Wait? Did I say I'm not sure? That's not accurate. I am 100% sure: They are NOT! Expect to see nothing BUT political grandstanding.... from BOTH sides.
Best we can do it ignore them, and just get through this the best we can.

I question everything we are hearing about this virus
Where is the evidence beyond the gigantic FEAR push that the the media has stirred up?
There is more to all of this than what it seems

Assuming there is even "something" to get through, and not ulterior motives going on stocks are doing weird things Many people are already throwing around wild ideas I would say so far, it 's about 75% fear mongering

Regardless if it is fear mongering or not this is clearly a virus unluck any other due to how contagious it is. Number of infections in China (if you believe them) and South Korea are leveling off. In the great state of OH - IO we have a total of 5 and I think they are all in the northern part of the state. The only thing we can do right now is just be smart about it. Avoid large crowds bring santizer with you and wash your hands when you can. No need to shake hands anymore. My parents are in there 80's and they just need to stay put. People like Doc who has weathered the battle of his life just need to really do his best to stay separated. Prayers to all of you. My best guess is that the next few weeks it is going to get worse then I can see a level off based on the history of other countries that have been fighting this longer.

this is clearly a virus unluck any other Aren't they all? Pretty much all corona viruses are highly contagious. Most of them aren't nearly as damaging as this one. At least, to older people. No one, anywhere, under the age of 30 has died. No one, outside of China under the age of 50 has died. This virus is real. Canceling everything, IMO, is a bit of an over-reaction. But, whatever.... #coronavacation is trending.

It is still miniscule compared to the flu

Well Broadway just closed so I should get a refund for the tickets I have for Saturday - if I ever get through on the telephone, it's continually busy and they haven't returned my e-mail messages, $360....

Lots of good sensible thinking here. Continue to take precautions like flu season.
Prayers for all of you.
Damn the media for promoting this insanity.

I agree the universities make millions off of these athletes......they can't pay for the players to get tested and play? The can't pay for refs to get tested before games come on now! I feel like the herd mentality became cancel the tourney and the NCAA went along with it
