One of the things I hate most about the internet is: Clickbait sites.
These are the ones that promise to show you something interesting. When you go there, it's a slideshow where you have to click through 30 things to see the ONE that you want. Normally, I move on quickly... But, today.. I hit one that hooked me. "Best NFL player to come from P5 football programs".
They were listed in Alphabetical order... so, Bama was first. Who do you think was selected, Hero?
TOOK a LONG time to get to Texas... but, they got it right. Earl Campbell.
Some were very easy. Syracuse? duh.
Some were very surprising to me... Virginia Tech, for example... I agree with them, but I never knew the winner was from there. Guess who?
Florida State was a little surprising: They picked Deion Sanders. I didn't care for Georgia's pick either... I would have said Fran Tarkenton. They picked Champ Bailey.
Louisville was easy: Johnny Unitas. Kentucky surprised me: Dermotti Dawson. I agree he was great. I just never knew he played at UK.
I thought Ohio State's player was a little surprising too... Care to guess?
Michigan is easy... Brady
Want to guess Miami? North Carolina? (Surprise to me) Oklahoma?? Ok State is a gimme.... ? As is Pittsburg.... Wanna guess Penn State?
Worst mistake they made, IMO, was USC. They overlooked The Juice, Marcus Allen, Frank Gifford, Ronnie Lott (my pick)… Who do you think they selected?
TCU was a good pick, but I had forgotten that he played there... WHO?
Virginia was a tough choice... I guess they got it right. Who do you think?
A little thought exercise to take your minds off the Corona!

I think the guys at this site had to be young, fantasy football players... Some of their picks were pretty weak, IMO. For Ohio State, they chose Cris Carter For Bama, Derrick Thomas. For TCU, yes.. it was LaDamian. Hard to argue with that one. Penn State was Franco Harris Baylor was easy: Mike Singletary Florida: Emmitt Smith Miami was Ray Lewis For Tennessee, the picked Reggie White. Debatable, but two worthy candidates. I was really hoping to draw Hen back to answer the Va Tech and Virginia questions... Guess the corona might really have him? Or, TDS? These must be hard times for Trump haters. Va Tech was Bruce Smith. I never knew he played college ball there. Virginny was Ronde Barber. I'm not even sure he was the best player in his own family? But, solid. www.thedelite.com/power-5-football-best-nfl-players/57/

And, USC?? Junior Seau ?? Over The Juice? hmnn…. I know who I would've picked in a school yard choice.

Cris Carter was great, no question about it. But he also was one of the early players who got busted for his dealings with an agent and had to forfeit his senior year. For that reason I don't think many Ohio State fans would support him being named the greatest player from Ohio State. My guess is Archie Griffin would probably get that nod with his 2 Heismans. But Archie did rather poorly in the NFL while Carter and Pace are both Hall of Famers. I went with Pace because he was the most dominant lineman in Ohio State history which takes into account a bunch of outstanding linemen.

I often had him on my fantasy teams. He was WAY fun to watch. This list was based purely on performance in the pros. If you compare performance while in college, Ricky Williams actually had a better career than Earl. At both levels, Earl was the more exciting player to watch. He was like no other.

No problem with Terry Kinard, might have selected Brian Dawkins personally, though.
Dwight Clark, Charlie Waters, Levon Kirkland...Terry Allen

My Favoritte Buckeyes Player that I can remember from a Young Age was EDDIE GEORGE! He had a solid career as a pro as well. Solid.. yes.. but, he was NO Chris Carter. I know Eddie was No Chris Carter but he was my favorite Buckeye.....for the vast majority of my childhood. Let me tell you something about Chris Carter.....the year the Vikings went 15-1 and almost made the Super Bowl( Lost in Double OT to the Atlanta Falcons I believe) Minnesota 1 Wideout was Randy Moss and the Vikings also had Chris Carter on that team. The guy whom was the 3(or maybe 4 Wide Reciever on that team?) Was named Matthew Hatchette whom went to my High School. Matthew was a Quarterback at Jefferson Area High School(My Alma Matter) whom later switched to WR in College....he graduated 11 years ahead of me in my sisters class but he had skills, unfortunately for him...,.he played on probably the greatest recievibg core in NFL history that year. Chris Carter though is probably one of the 3 best WR's ive ever seen play. I love him as a commentator too.
