LSU recognizes 1958, 2003, 2007, and 2019 I'm not quite sure why they haven't claimed the 1908 team as National Champions Even the NCAA recognizes that championship. So many other schools claim pre-AP poll championships as well. Michigan claims a ton of pre-AP championships Do it LSU

Some people think football didn’t count before the AP. I never understood why.

Some people think football didn’t count before the AP. I never understood why. Cause they didn't wear facemasks.

Some people think football didn’t count before the AP. I never understood why. I think there are some programs that try and reach for championships that are based very loosely *cough Tennessee cough*
The NCAA has LSU 1908 on their list...so why not claim it?

I think OSU should claim the following: 1998 - Clearly the best team that season. The UT FSU game was probably the worst MFCP Championship game ever 2012 - Only undefeated team standing and it came down to 3 players receiving a few dollars over the maximum they could accept for volunteering that led to the failure to monitor 2019 - Cleary the SEC referees were paid by LSU because they knew they could not be the Buckeyes without home cooked referrees
Oooops I was supposed to put that last one behind me but what else do we have to talk about.

I think maybe the Football Gods decided to smile on Tennessee for a night...they certainly haven't done much since then. Of course "not much" is still more than what Georgia has

And Tennessee needed an Ohio kid from the Dayton Public Schools to beat FSU that night, does anyone remember Peerless Price? He attended Meadowdale HS in Dayton.
