I was a student the first time OSU and Bama played - it was in the Sugar Bowl and it was much hyped as it was Woody Hayes vs Bear Bryant. The Crimson Tide had Ozzie Newsome at the time and they beat up the Bucks pretty badly that day. The other games were very competitive, especially the most recent one in the 2015 national semi-finals. Buckeyes have some pretty stout OOC games coming up in the next 7-8 years, should be fun! Better start planning the trip to Tuscaloosa - who's in?! BTW - I know how much CPA loves intriguing stats - here's one for you.... There are fewer days between now and Ohio State's 2027 match-up with Alabama (2,648 days) than there are between now and Ohio State's last loss to Michigan (3,127 days). It's all good! (Except for that 0-4 record vs Clemson ) I was a student at their second meeting in the Measowlands. We watch the game in that bar on high street that was 3 stories and I thought it was called trilogies at the time. It went down to the 4th quarter but in the end we got the L. Not surprising considering that we went 9 - 3 every season for about 9 years with Bruce at the helm. The next day we have to torture ourselves as we did every L and listen to the Earle Excuse show.
