The Cleveland Indians after pressure on the Washington Redskins have begun discussion about changing their team name after 105 years. Indians is a neutral word, it does not deride anyone, it does not make fun of anyone, it simply describes a group of people. If the Indians are forced to change their name don’t be surprised when the Norte Dame Fighting Irish have to change their name as well. This has reached beyond absurdity and it’s not catering to a majority here, it’s bending over backwards to the 1-2 % of people whom can’t decide which bathroom to use. I’m sorry but that’s the truth

I’m sorry but that’s the truth I know those clubs have a lot of history and tradition, but I'd play devil's advocate and say they are the easiest targets out there
Redskins is obvious, and it's so easy to change....Washington Warhawks. Done.
Indians bothers me, not because I find it offensive, but because it's just a stupid technicality handed down in history books. Indians ARE FROM INDIA. Native Americans is even a stupid term....Call the natives what they called themselves: Cherokee, Mohawk, Huron, Seminole, Comanche, Ute, etc.
I don't care if Cleveland changes it's name or not, but I will always think of Indians from India.
Apu from the Simpsons is glad so many people in Cleveland support him!
