From a yahoo sports reporter, re-tweeted by Dan Wetzel:
Pessimism in college football has spiraled to fatalism. Time to face reality: “No one is playing college football in the fall.”
I just don’t see it happening

Apparently NASCAR had 20,000 in the stands for a race. It will be interesting to see the fallout from that. Increasing COVID numbers don't seem good but not sure what they mean. We have way more tests which you would expect way more positives. When you look at the Hospitalizations, ICU admissions, and deaths in Ohio they are relatively flat.
I think the BIG did the right thing regarding just playing a conference schedule assuming the season happens. They will add a 10th game which will give each team 10 P5 games. In this case they will avoid traveling across the country and will not have to pay the Million Dollar price tag to bring in some MAC teams considering there may be no or very few fans to offset the cost.

While I’ll miss college football, I will take solace that I believe there is a huge overlap between people who refuse to wear masks and college football fans.
Their non compliance has and will continue to play a large role in whether we have football. But they are more likely to blame Obama than themselves if we have no football in the fall.
Idiots.

The core values of being anti-government and anti-science have seemingly replaced love thy neighbor. Disappointing.

Don't know that I ever encountered a more despicable human being than you? Worst part is, you're clearly smart enough to be better. But, otherwise.. welcome back. Since there's NO FOOTBALL... you should fit right in.

Don't know that I ever encountered a more despicable human being than you? Worst part is, you're clearly smart enough to be better. How is what I said despicable? There are very few reasons to not wear a mask. Two reasons we see being used are anti-science and anti-government sentiment. There is one very compelling reason to wear a mask, and it is live thy neighbor. It is why I wear one in public. Can you explain to me why someone would not wear a mask, unless they felt more strongly about being anti-government or anti-science than loving thy neighbor? What is despicable is not wearing a mask. A very simple and very doable thing. That you call me despicable for calling out those not wearing is the exact thing that makes this situation so frustrating.

You are despicable.. because, you're smart enough to know better. So, tell me.. Which mask do you like best? The N95 mask, with an exhale valve? Tell me.. how do those protect the people around the wearer? Or maybe, the Bandana mask? Those are so ridiculous, they're akin to trying to stop a fart smell with cotton underwear. Maybe, you prefer the cool looking medical, blue disposable mask? (My personal favorite). The ones that blow out the sides, and toward the back... and, are SUPPOSED to be disposed after 20-30 minutes of use, but people use OVER and OVER again.. day after day. The reason to not wear masks is: There is NO SCIENCE that says mask in the general public are effective against a virus.. They have more negative effects than positive effects. Better protections are: Social distance, hand washing, avoiding large crowds. I wear my stupid mask, where required, to help weak minded people feel safer in public.. and, to follow the law. I THOUGHT you were smart enough to have read the studies that show they don't have any real value. ALL for show... so great.

And anyway, I didn't say what you SAID is despicable.. I said YOU ARE. You are pleased that college football fans are against masks? As if, their own ignorance keeps them from enjoying what they love? And presumably, makes them sicker? You popped here out of nowhere to say THAT? really? That's a positive contribution to our dead board? Gee, thanks... There was a time, when a civil discussion could be had.. discussing, debating facts that aren't so easy to determine. You COULD have come back in that manner. But, no... You came back in the same scummy way you left. Maybe, you can back out, and start again? In a civil way?

The science says that the general population wearing a mask is a good thing, that helps prevent spread. Certainly not that "They have more negative effects than positive effects". This anti-science sentiment is mind numbing.
We agree that social distancing, hand washing and avoiding large crowds is also helpful to prevent spread, something that people are not doing. And we see reasoning because of anti-science or anti-government sentiment. It is sickening.

Show me ONE Random Controlled Trial that show this... with a virus. Just ONE! I'll give you a day or two.. since, it doesn't exist.

I understand it is more fun to read what you think I said, rather than what I said.
I said I take solace, not that I am pleased. Solace is comfort during grief.
The cancellation of college football will comfort me during this awful time, because it is something real and tangible that college football fans will feel, and hopefully they will understand the importance of stopping the spread. Sickness and death of their fellow Americans is clearly not enough for them to follow simple guidelines to help stop the spread, so maybe canceling college football will? And on top of that, canceling college football will undoubtedly save some of their lives. Just because they are stupid doesn't mean they deserve to lose their life.
Right now, they feel more compelled to stop the spread of science rather than the disease, and claim things like masks "have more negative effects than positive effects". This sentiment is anti-science and is unbelievable that it is mainstream.

That was easy.
Regardless, you will be very hard pressed to find a scientist that says wearing a mask does more harm than good. Even if it may reduce the spread, based on what we know about how viruses spread, but is not proven to reduce the spread, is a good enough reason to wear one.
But instead, you would rather say that masks do more harm than good. This is the anti-science sentiment that is absolutely mind boggling. How has anti-science become such a core value for people?
