1. Alabama 2. Georgia 3. Clemson 4. Florida ------------ 5. Texas 6. Miami
(where is Hero at??) Alabama is starting the season off strong. I'm trying to find competitive games on their schedule and their just aren't many...Georgia? maybe Auburn?
I think Georgia is a strong team
Clemson didn't play this weekend
Florida looks good with Trask
Bevo??? How bout that comeback? I was ready to write the Big XII off this year. Ehlinger may finally be turning into a leader
Miami looks competitive, granted, over a weak FSU team. Next stop: Death Valley
Notre Dame didn't play...I don't think North Carolina played either.

We are still seeing the depths of FSU. Cannot fathom how badly Jimbo left that program.
On the other hand, Aggie fans are wondering why they are paying Jimbo $75 million to struggle at home with Vandy.

This season is already lost IMO. Norvell might as well be evaluating this group of players for next season.
Blackman is not the answer either. He has not evolved at all. I would still let him play here and there because he's a kid who has been put in a difficult situation, but Norvell should view the QB situation as open. I would like to see more playing time from Chubba Purdy and Tate Rodemaker at QB
And FSU needs more solidarity at the AD position. They need to go back to their old uniforms. It makes a difference psychologically. Teams that play around with the stupid uniforms trend LOSE. Alabama uniform changes? 0. Oklahoma wore their stupid Nebraska-esque uniforms this weekend and lost
FSU needs a complete overhaul at this point. I don't think they will be competitive again till 2022-2023

My top 6 are as follows Clemson Ohio State Bama Florida Miami UGA
Penn St is out for now until I see them play.
Takes from week 1. SEC I think Florida and Bama will take care of business. They have the most complete teams with solid QB play. LSU may struggle to get to 500. MSU will be fun to watch as Leach had things rolling in the Bayou. B12 Oklahoma St may be the best bet for the playoffs. Kansas St who took it on the chin from Arky St will haunt the Sooners. I watch the second part of the Texas TT game and one thing that seemed apparent is that the Texas defense seemed slow. Maybe they were gassed but if not, they will have a hard time this season. Very nice comeback though. ACC either Miami is better than we thought our FSU is becoming the Vanderbilt of the ACC. The best shots to dethown the Clemson falls on Miami, UNC, and ND. AAC Three teams that may have some impact on the playoffs are UCF, Cinti, amd Memphis. UCF will have the strongest claim if they handle business they entire season especially if GT fares well in the ACC.

I'm not sure what dethowning involves, but it sounds bad.

If you are waiting on Penn State, might as well wait on the entire Big 10. I think it's stupid that PAC 12 and Big 10 teams have been added to the AP poll. Just shows what a shoddy load of crap the polls are. Everything should be based on results on the field.
How the hell is Penn State ahead of Miss St. in the AP Poll? That makes zero sense
Wisconsin is ahead of Pitt lol. Pitt is 3-0
Clemson also plays Virginia and Virginia Tech. How good are those teams? 2020 has flipped the Clemson schedule on its head and now they play one of the tougher schedules this year. I would be shocked if they went undefeated

Homerism??? Considering they were number 2 in the preaseason polls, I think it is reasonable to have them in any of the top 3 spots considering they have one of the best QB's in the country returning.
Yes the polls are a joke. Ohio State went from number 2 to not rated to number 10. 4 SEC teams that did not play a single game jump them.

Hero is trying to recover from the hurricane. Injuries will be the scary part for Bama. Showing little in the way of depth but the starters look ready for prime time. Georgia is really good on defense. Texas is really good on offense. Is Miami that good or does FSU have the ability to make many teams look good? The FSU OLine is really bad.

Good to see you back on-line. I'm sure, even with the house in-tact. There must be PLENTY to pick up and repair. I'm still amazed by the Texas comeback. On Friday, at Bellagio pool, I met a guy from Oklahoma who was there to marry off one of his daughters. Despite being from Oklahoma, he was a cool guy and really LOVED college football. We both agreed that neither Texas or OU should be giving many points against KS and TT. Texas has ALWAYS had trouble with Tech, in Lubbock. Not in Austin... but, for sure, on the road. That 33-39 loss in Lubbock in 2008 is still one of, if not THE toughest loss I have ever seen for the Longhorns. CLEARLY, we were a better team that Tech. I think we were the best team in the country. But, that last minute loss... on National TV, Saturday night, in Lubbock, as the FOURTH straight game against teams ranked in the Top 10, cost Texas a chance to win a National Title. That hurt. So, coming back from 15 points down with 3 minutes to go? Yea... that was SWEET!!! It's almost as if a curse was lifted. I fully expect this team to rise up and take advantage of this opening. I'll be SHOCKED if we lose a game this year... all the way to the end.

Glad to see the committee poo-poo the 8 team playoff. That’s too bad. I’m loving conference only, every game is meaningful with no filler. An 8 team playoff would be icing on the cake, and help replace the quality OOC games we’ve lost. 7 playoff games instead of 3 seems like a college football fan’s dream.

This year, of all years, 8 would be a good number. I've always thought 8 would work. All P5 Champs, highest rated G5 Champ, and 2 at large (ie. next two SEC teams) That gives EVERY team a shot at controlling their own destiny... at least, a better shot.
