The prosecution has had a horrible week...
Yesterday, the witnesses for the prosecution got buried on cross-examination.
This is shaping up to be another Zimmerman type trial, where the media has already concluded guilt, but the evidence does not support it.

I think they'll convict on one of the lesser charges, like criminal negligence. But, not murder... so, cities will burn.

Considering the toxicology reports indicate that he died of a drug overdose, time to get prepared for a very ugly summer.

Haven't been able to watch as much of this trial as I did the Travon Martin case. What bits I've seen have looked strong for the prosecution. But then, this is the prosecution phase. It is hard for me to see how they could get a murder conviction. Negligent Homicide looks possible. But not, murder.
The problem is: Everyone has hyped up the "murder" angle. Nothing else will be accepted.

If the rogue cop is not convicted the BLM extremist idiots ( plus the trumpism planted insurgents ) will burn and loot like crazy and will disgust enough voters for trump or one of his penis suckers to eek out a presidential win in 2024......I fear.

This might be my favorite post of the year, so far, most notably for it's eloquent use of the phrase 'penis suckers'. Our daughter lives in Minneapolis - 1.2 miles from the courthouse. I told her to get the hell out of town when she hears they're about to announce a verdict. She said the trial could take a month.

Yesterday was the first decent day for the prosecution.
Defense attorney was not given documents until The night before- that borders on misconduct, but given the nature of this trial I suspect it will be allowed, at least this once
The states own medical experts have contradicted each other’s testimony, and they don’t agree about what caused Floyd’s death, and yet the state will argue to the jury that there is proof beyond reasonable doubt that the cops’ actions caused the death.
That is already reasonable doubt, all by itself, and we haven’t even heard from the defense’s medical experts yet.

Government official kneels on mans neck and he ends up dead.
Conservatives: nothing to see here, just government doing its job
Government official mandates masks in public places to help save health and lives:
Conservatives: No! I can’t breathe!
The mental gymnastics to think like this is Olympic level.

It is hard for me to see how they could get a murder conviction. Negligent Homicide looks possible. But not, murder. The problem is: Everyone has hyped up the "murder" angle. Nothing else will be accepted. Agree, this has the feel of the Trayvon trial. The deceitful media had already ginned up the guilty verdict, albeit not based on evidence. They are doing their best to help the prosecution here, as well. For example...the widely accepted narrative that Chauvin kept his ‘knee on the neck’ for 9 minutes has been thoroughly debunked by the prosecution’s own witnesses and the body cams. There was pressure by Chauvin’s knee, but it was not continuously on the neck, and was mostly on the back and shoulders, according to prosecution medical witness testimony. The jurors also know that the city and much of the nation will explode if there is a ‘not guilty’ verdict, and that they will be doxxed and their lives ruined. Will any juror have the conviction to vote with the evidence? That's not their fault. What I can say with confidence is that as with the George Zimmerman trial, the public is being misinformed by the mainstream media that this is an open-and-shut case, and if Chauvin is found not guilty it’s because of systemic racism in society and the judicial system. At this point, I wouldn't wager on the jury voting one way or the other. Still a lot of court time ahead.

The media keeps repeating the lie that "Chauvin's knee was on Floyds neck for 9 minutes and 29 seconds". This has already been disproven in sworn testimony over the last 10 days.
Gotta maintain the narrative.

Meanwhile, another black youth is tragically killed SOLELY due to the uncaring, racist cop.
Nothing at all to do with his attempting to run from police, who were trying arrest him for failing to appear at a previous hearing.
What happened looks like a terrible mistake. But, I hear ZERO talk of: "Don't RUN from police... especially not when they have you in their hands".

I think Nelson is not objecting enough.
Why for example was the state allowed to ask Stoughton what – in his opinion – was Floyds cause of death? Stoughton is in no way qualified to answer that question..should have been strictly limited to use-of-force.
Floyd complained about not being able to breathe seven — 7– different times before the cops placed him on the ground (and Floyd himself had requested that the cops let him lie down on the ground, BTW).
Nobody was putting pressure on Floyd’s neck, back, chest, etc., during any of those 7 times. Floyd’s breathing difficulties were clearly being caused by something other than his body position or outside pressure placed on his body from some other person.
