Is Brady the "Greatest of ALL Greatest??"
I think it's arguable.
7 Super Bowl WINS from 10 Super Bowl appearances...
2 different teams.
22 years of playing QB in the NFL.
I'm struggling to think of another person who has dominated their sport MORE that Brady has.
Somewhere, on this board.... if we could go back far enough, I argued passionately that Peyton Manning was BETTER than Brady. Yea... that was when Brady was 3-1 ahead of Peyton in SB wins. I've long ago given up on that.
The many just excelled, for a LONGER time than anyone ever.
I think, he's the GOAG Greatest of ALL GOATS.

Golf:
1) Jack Nicklaus 2) Tiger Woods 3) Bobby Jones
1 & 2 are easy. There are MANY contenders for #3. On any given day, I might have chosen Palmer, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, or Byron Nelson... or even a couple of others.
Jack would be a candidate for GOAG.

Football is REALLY tough... since it's damned near impossible to compare a lineman like Alan Page to a Qb like Joe Montana. Both were GREAT at their positions.
But, if forced to pick the three best, I'd say:
1) Tom Brady (just too good for too long, with the rings to prove it)
2) Joe Montana (Joe Cool won more money for me, by far, than ANY other player. For that, he gets HIGH PRAISE from me!)
3) Jerry Rice (He was ALWAYS open, and nearly always CAUGHT the damn ball. That's what I like in a WR)
Three is just NOT enough spots to list the greatest football players... I mean, how can I leave LT off this list? When people KNOW YOU by your initials, you're good. And, I hope I never cross paths with Jim Brown after he sees I left him off the list.
I go back and forth in my head between Peyton and Montana. Peyton was more gifted, physically. But, Joe had the magic. And, when it really mattered, he was MONEY!
Earl Campbell was my FAVORITE player. No one was ever bettr than Earl in his prime. Sadly, no one plays long the way he played.

Baseball history is more of my interest. Ruth is probably the GOAT but Mays oould also be argued.
A couple of FB names to add in with yours, Bevo : Jim Brown, Lawrence Taylor and although with a short career I've read , by several FB historians, that nobody ever stepped on a FB field more talented than Gayle Sayers.

#1 Brady By far and away the most dominate player player to toughest position of any sport #2 Jordan ask anybody other than Lebron or Bronny #3 Gretzky not a huge hockey fan but his reputation and stats speak for themselves #4 Nicklaus Woods make a good run but bad decision making driven by his penis got in the way
Baseball is just too hard to figure out with the different eras. How do you really compare Ruth vs Mays vs Bonds

His all time top ten players :
1) Willie Mays 2) Babe Ruth 3) Barry Bonds 4) Henry Aaron 5) Oscar Charleston 6) Ted Williams 7) Walter Johnson 8) Ty Cobb 9) Stan Musial 10) Satchel Paige

I returned the book to the library so can't read his reasons for ranking Cy Young the 8th greatest pitcher of all time and 34th overall greatest player. Maybe because he lost more games than anyone in MLB history ??...I don't know. My biggest surprise was the omission of Shoeless Joe Jackson. Posnanski states that he didn't rank Jackson because he took gamblers money in the 1919 scandal yet he doesn't seem to de-value the juicers. For example he has Clemens ranked 3rd greatest pitcher. His top 8 pitchers :
1) Walter Johnson 2) Satchel Paige 3) Roger Clemens 4) Lefty Grove 5) Pete Alexander 6) Randy Johnson 7) Greg Maddox 8) Cy Young
Surprising that neither Christy Mathewson, Bob Gibson , Steve Carlton , Bob Feller or Sandy Koufax made the top 8 pitchers. His reasoning, however is well developed. I highly recommend the book for baseball nuts.....and Posnanski welcomes debate but you can't out research him. It's amazing.

The 100% equal, at least, to Willie Mays...but confined to the Negro Leagues. MLB managers who saw him play say he would have been the best player in the majors if allowed.
Posanski really works in the great Negro League guys in this book...for example Paige, Charleston and Josh Gibson ( Bench a distant #2 for greatest catcher of all time)

No one has dominated their sport like Gretzky and it's not even close. Gretzky had 49% more points than the second best in his sport. In order to achieve such domination Michael Jordan would have needed 25,000 more points. Babe Ruth would have needed 421 more homeruns. Tom Brady 227 more TDs. They are not in the same league of domination.
