We have 6 hours of pre-game 4 hours of 'game' and at least 1 hour of 'post game'. The actual football action on the field will total approximately 11- 11.5 minutes. Therefore, we have approximately 1 hour of assorted discussion/hype/game coverage for every 1 minute of actual football action regarding this event.
Won't be long til we hear 'play ball !'

Just as I feared. The refs decided the game Such a disgrace 2 years in a row. Absolutely horrible call and somehow Olsen justified the call as legit. I got zebra'd in the CFP playoff game against uga and the Super Bowl last year. I feel bad for the Eagles as they had plenty of time to to win the game or at least tie it again.

Ticky tacky call but still quite a thrilling ball game.

Did everybody know that Eagles HC, Nick Sirianni played and learned his football at D3 Mt Union ? He was on 3 consecutive national championship teams (2000, 01 and 02)...real ones, no voting whatsoever. His mentor , of course ,was HC Larry Kehres, the most difficult HC to beat at any level in all of CF history, and imo, the G.O.A.T. Kehres also won 11 national championships. Kehres (.929) lost 7 % of all the CF games he ever coached. Rockne lost 12% of all the CF games he coached Bryant lost 22% of all the CF games he coached Saban lost 20 % of all the CF games he coached
Anyway, good story for Sirianni - from Mt Union to the Super Bowl

Ticky tacky call but still quite a thrilling ball game. I really wanted to see the Eagles get the opportunity to win the game. We did not see a call like that all game and in the most critical moment the zebras had to interject. Other than that it was very entertaining. Not sure what the critics will say but I thought the halftime show was simply not entertaining. The strobe lights made it hard to watch and I don't really need to see the hand gestures.

I turned TV off and played my fiddle for the 30 minute halftime. They are , generally ,insulting to people that actually play real music.

After hearing many of the talking heads on the FB shows this morning and seeing the holding play from new angles as well as the cornerback admitting that he, indeed, did hold I'm less skeptical of the call. I think the official did what he was trained to do. The Eagles got away with a blatant defensive hold earlier in the game so too bad there wasn't more consistency.

I think the official did what he was trained to do. The Eagles got away with a blatant defensive hold earlier in the game so too bad there wasn't more consistency. There was a LOT of holding, for the entire game. KC was holding, blatantly, on almost every run in the 2nd half. As you say, the Eagles had a couple of holds that were obvious. The refs WERE NOT calling it. And, I'm fine with that. But, once you set the standard, you don't change it on the ONE play when, the call itself decides the outcome of the game. There's no justifying that call. It was horrible.

That said, the bogus call did win two crucial bets for me! :-)

OMG. I recorded the SB yesterday. Just now was the first chance I've had to review the replay of "the call". It's WORSE than I thought yesterday. There was NO "hold"... at best, "contact". But ALL of the "contact" happened within a few yards of the line of scrimmage.... ie... it's LEGAL! On top of that the Flag wasn't even thrown until it was obvious that Mahomes gave up on the play and just threw the ball away.
That was, 100% a manufactured call designed to ensure that the Chiefs won the Super Bowl. Good grief... It's HARD to be a fan of this game anymore.
What makes it even worse is, the DB coming out and saying, "Oh yeah... I was holding". That just shows you how much control the NFL has now. They can FORCE players to come out and lie on their behalf.

How exactly did the NFL force the cornerback to lie about the hold ?

How exactly did the NFL force the cornerback to lie about the hold ? They called him and told him to get out there and justify the bogus call. That’s how
