Here is a Hero related question! Which Alabama Championship team was the best (in the BCS/Playoff Era)?
2009 2011 2012 2015
Personally, I think it might have been 2012....Although 2011 and 2015 had outstanding defenses. That 2012 team absolutely demolished the Irish in the championship game. The offense was good, and defense great. Probably the most balanced
2009 and 2015 featured Heisman trophy winners though

2012 was my favorite for beating the Irish the way they did.
I think 2009 was the best. Remember they had to beat the number one undefeated defending National Championship Florida Gators Team led by senior QB Tim Tebow before they played Texas. Florida and Tebow had beaten Bama by 11 in 2008 and returned 11 starters on defense.

The data isn't in for the 2015 team yet, but the numbers speak for the 2009 team. The biggest crime rate drop in Alabama since the 1992 championship.

I am glad the crime rate always drops when Alabama wins the national championship.

I'll have to go back and look for this but, I saw a graphic the other day that showed EVERY starter on McCarron's team has made an NFL roster. I didn't recognize all the names, but....did know most of them. That's a pretty incredible feat. Most teams promote 3-4 players on average. 13-15 in a great season.

That's the one. I'd make a case for that team. I don't think the 2009 team was all that good. Texas challenged them with a freshman QB with 20 snaps to his name. With Colt? It would have been no contest. ;-)

If I am not mistaken all 11 defensive starters were drafted as well.
