Trump didn't really mean it when he said that he was going to drain the swamp: That is not what the article is about.

Maybe he lost his nerve after he realized that he isn't able to drain his own bath water. Or, perhaps after bribing politicians all these years, Trump's now has an opportunity to be on the receiving end.

I'm generally a Gingrich fan, but this is overstepping, even for him.
Let Trump make his own statements.
Of course, the media will twist anything Republcans say - he's talking about the phrase, not the act.

What did you do with all the Russian hacking stories? The urgency and frequency fell off a cliff after the EC vote.

It has hardly fallen off the map. Sanctions will be coming soon -- possibly as early as today. It will be interesting to see how Trump deals with it. The best thing that Donald and his best buddy Vladimir have going is that Obama has burned a lot of bridges over the past couple of weeks, and that has severely damaged his credibility.

For 50-60 years the left has denied Russian involvement in our elections, but NOW, this year, they all of a sudden believe it?
And that Putin would prefer Trump, when ample evidence exists that he would actually be more comfortable with Hillary?
Obama is under pressure to reveal the "evidence"...one problem, though, there isn't any. Only opinions masquerading as fact so far.
It will be interesting to see what sanctions are imposed based on these false allegations.

Wow -- you are totally in the tank, along with Trump, for Saint Vladimir. The (much too mild) sanctions have been imposed: www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/12/29/obama-orders-sanctions-against-russia-expels-operatives-in-response-to-hacking.html

There is no there, there.
They keep using the Russia hacked the election meme, implying vote-tampering. Just a distraction from the content of the emails, by focusing on the process/source, which is irrelevant.
If Russia had wanted to aid the Trump campaign, all they would have needed to do was leak information which indicated that they had hacked into Hillary's private server (something they almost had assuredly done) while she was at the state department.
Based upon energy alone, the idea the Russians would prefer Trump over Hillary is absurd. Much less ABMs, etc.
Here's the $64,000 question:
Would Obama be doing all this if Hillary had won?
Nope.
Nary a word would be spoken.

We probably wouldn't be continuing to have to see this "Trump hatred" bullcrap from Herd if Hillary had won. It would ALMOST... almost... have been worth it.
