The past 2 seasons there were 13 and 16 P5 teams with one loss or less at this point of the year. With only 7 remaining the possibility of having a 2 loss team is a definite possibility.
The ACC and B1G contenders all had dominating performances where the SEC took it on the chin. I did not see the game but it appears that Alabama had some struggles on offense but the defense certainly is where it needs to be. Florida and TAM losses pretty much eliminate multiple teams from the SEC in the CFP. Washington continues to be a dominating team but for some reason does not seem to get the respect they deserve. If Washington performed they way they have this season and had USC uniforms they would clearly be top 4 in the CFP rankings
BIG10
Michigan controls their fate and looks very very good.
Ohio State needs Michigan to win out or PSU to lose a game to get to the B10 CCG. They still remains in a very good position to make the playoffs if the can win out
Dark Horses
Wisconsin will have a pretty compelling case if it can win out and beat either tOSU or Michigan in the B10 CCG
PSU needs the stars to align with a Michigan loss needing to happen in the next 2 weeks
SEC
Bama continues to own the SEC. The the only real threat left comes from Auburn who did not exactly impress anyone with a narrow win over Vandy. The SEC East is just bad and seems to be getting worse.
Auburn does have a glimmer of hope as they still control there own destination to the SEC championship.
Florida is the only remaining 2 loss team in the East and expect to seem them with 4 losses total but still remain about a 50 50 shot to be in the SEC CCG
ACC
Clemson on again off again performance was definitely on again this weekend. It will take a total collapse for them not to be in the ACC CCG
Louisville is in just a bad position. The Houston game is no longer a big boost for them and it will take a lot of collapse outside of the ACC form them to make the CFP
Va Tech should be the representative in the Coastal with NC on the outside looking in.
PAC12
Looking a lot like the SEC
Washington has proven to be dominate but still has some tough games ahead. The last game of the season is against WSU which is 6 - 0 in conference and the winner likely going to the P12 CCG
Utah and Colorado both have 2 losses but still get to play each other where the winner will be the clear cut favorite to get to the P12 CCG
B12
We are down to 2. 1 loss WVU vs Oklahoma who is undefeated are the B12 best bets in terms of the CFP. The B12 is still an extreme longshot in getting to the CFP as it will require a free fall from the other P5 top contenders. They play in 2 weeks and it will be my first B12 game ever as I will be in attendance.
Western Michigan
An extreme longshot as well. There best bet is the have the B12 and PAC12 both take a dive. This means Washington will need to probably lose 2 which is conceivable with USC WSU and possible P12 CCG on the horizon. Then they will need to next options in the B10 and ACC to stumble.
