Here are the records along with the seedings. Looks like the ACC benefitted when looking at the records but it certainly did not help them on the road to the sweet 16
#1 28-4 Kansas #3 35-7 Baylor #4 26-8 West Virginia #5 23-10 Iowa St #10 20-12 Oklahoma St #11 Kansas St
#2 28-5 Kentucky #4 24-8 Florida #8 25-8 Arkansas #7 22-10 South Carolina ## 19-15 Vanderbilt
#1 27-7 North Carolina #2 27-8 Duke #2 24-8 Louisville #3 25-8 Florida St #5 22-10 Virginia #5 25-9 Notre Dame #8 21-11 Miami FL #9 22-10 Virginia Tech #11 19-13 Wake Forest
#2 30-4 Arizona #3 29-5 Oregon #3 29-4 UCLA #11 24-9 USC

there probably was, but last year the ACC dominated the tournament...maybe that's where the bias came from?

The tournament is all about match-ups and catching a few breaks. I think the teams that that made it deserved to make it. I do feel a few teams were not seeded correctly but at this point you just have to go out and win. If you play a higher seeded team early you don't have to worry about them down the road. I think Wisconsin and Wichita State got the biggest screw jobs but it certainly backfired on Villanova. Wichita nearly knocked out Kentucky. Those tight games should help teams as they move forward.

Like pretty much everything the NCAA does, the seeding is a joke. When you have #12 seeds FAVORED in Vegas over #5 seeds, something is VERY wrong.
The NCAA is more worried about TV ratings and sales than they are about fairness and the integrity of competition.
What they SHOULD be doing is: Finding a better way to sell tickets. At these regional matchups, half of the good, court-side seats go empty for many, if not most of the games. They need a way for teams that don't sell their allotments to turn their tickets back. Or, for fans that leave after one game to release their seats for re-sale.
Someone should design a system that sell seats on an app. Let your ticket be ON you phone. Wanna leave after the first game? Sell your ticket back for $10 credit. Then, other people already IN the arena can pay $15 or $20 to upgrade to your courtside seat. THIS is how it should be done.
40 years ago.. when Astros season ticket holders knew they weren't going to a game, they had an option to release their seats (for a small credit). I could walk up on game day and buy GREAT SEATS at the Field Box level. Today, with all of our fancy computer systems, if you walk up on game day, the best you get is near the bullpen. Then, you go in and 60% of the good seats empty. It sucks.
It's time someone figured out a better way.
