If I had to pick the playoff participants after week 1, I'd go with....
#1 Ohio State vs. #4 Baylor #2 Georgia Tech vs. #3 Alabama
I'm big on GT obviously
I also liked Auburn, Georgia, Clemson, and Notre Dame
FSU not looking too shabby

Auburn has the pieces to do pretty good this season. If Lawson can stay healthy and Johnson plays to his potential, the sky is the limit. That was the Auburn team that was up by three scores.
The Auburn without Lawson and Johnson trying to force things was the Auburn team that let Louisville back in it.

I agree that Auburn has a good chance to go far this year... but, the ONLY reason they were up by three scores is, Louisville fumbled a basic handoff. UL was about to score on that drive, when Auburn was GIFTED a TD. That was, at least a 10 point play......maybe 14. In a 7 point game.
This was the BEST game of the weekend... very hard fought on both sides.

Adams had his hands on the Lousiville QB before the handoff.

Are you trying to say that was a Forced Fumble? I don't see it. Not from that clip anyway. He might have been touching him, but... not enough to prevent what SHOULD have been a routine handoff.

Louisville had an awful first half - hard to see that many player and coaching mistakes, but the youtube does it justice: www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2Jy-6qyNc8They shot themselves in the foot all game long. Losing Quick to injury didn't help matters. Not ready to but the GT hype either, defense is suspect and they lost all of their WR, A-backs and B-backs. The backs can be replced, but not so easily the WRs.

The Auburn defender beat his blocker off the line, and put his hands on the QB prior to the handoff. Auburn had a number of mistakes too. Multiple interceptions and holding calls. For example, an OL stepped on another's foot, causing a holding penalty that called a long TD back. Typical week one football, mistakes on both sides, but the better team came out ahead. That QB for Louisville should be fun to watch. Teams that play Louisville this season will know to prepare for him and his speed.

I agree... I thought Auburn was better before the game. I still think they are. But, they didn't cover the spread. Louisville played them closer than most people expected.
I don't think Auburn is a three-score better team... no matter which players are playing.

Ohio State - Southern Cal - Alabama - Florida State will bring the highest TV revenue so That's what ESPN will be lobbying its 'committee' for.
