This might sound odd, as Marshall lost to NC State by 17. But, the final stats show that Marshall is equal to NC State in talent. Marshall starters are mostly freshmen and sophomores who made a number of dumb mistakes in key situations, especially penalties and turnovers. One Marshall player had 248 receiving yards.
So, I expect Louisville to beat the betting line decisively.

I don't think they're good enough to go on the road and beat a team like NC State. Maybe, Marshall is just better than you think?

That is a possibility. The Herd didn’t make the dumb mistakes against Cincy that it made against NC State. We’ll see.
However, if Chase Litton lit up NC State for 350 passing yards, imagine what Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson will do. Should do.

Like I said above... Louisville is over-rated. PLus, the atmosphere around here is just DEATH. Everyone is shell-shocked.

He simply does not have the team around him this year.
