So here will be your playoff:
#1 Clemson vs. #4 Alabama/Ohio State #2 Oklahoma vs. #3 Georgia
who is it going to be? Alabama or Ohio State? Both teams have a case, it's all very subjective....
Ohio State has better wins, a conference championship, but an ugly loss that makes people cringe
Alabama has just 1 loss and looked dominant till the Iron Bowl, albeit against a weak schedule. Auburn and Fresno State losing certainly did not help Bama's cause.
....and by the way on a sidenote, Wisconsin did not look any part like one of the top 4 best teams in the country. I think plenty of teams would have beaten them....Penn State, USC, Stanford, Notre Dame, Miami, maybe even 6-6 Florida State. Ohio State probably saved them a brutal beating at the hands of Clemson.
....and on another sidenote, why not USC??

I don't think there is any way two SEC Teams will be in. That said, I hope Bama makes it and if they do, they will be much healthier a month from now and will win it all.

I'm a Buckeyes fan, I think Ohio State can compete with Clemson if Dwayne Haskins not JT Barrett is starting. BARRETT SIMPLY IS not that accurate a deep ball passer. He left at least 1r points on the board for the Buckeyes last night.

Do you take the best team or the best resume for the 4th spot?
Because they are different teams.

Bama... And it shouldn't be a hard decision, Yeah, but put any other teams name on that resume, and it wouldn't even be a discussion. no top 15 wins, no conf title.... doesnt matter - OU and baker mayfield are unstoppable, according to ESPN, so shit...shut it down and mail them the trophy 🏆

Do you take the best team or the best resume for the 4th spot? Because they are different teams. Best resume. Without playing the games, no one really knows who the best team is. The regular season should be honored, and teams should be penalized or rewarded for how they do I think the committee needs rules for the 4 bids. Conference champions should be honored. The guess-work vagueness is bad for the sport... you either select 4 conference champs, or you select 3 conf champs and 1 at-large if the playoff is 4 conference champs, Ohio State gets in (although I would pick USC) if the #4 slot is an At-Large bid, Alabama gets in if I had yo judge the teams, I'd say Alabama is the better team That said, the committee LOVES the Buckeyes, and I think you will have upset people if Alabama gets in

By the way, that Iowa loss is butt-ugly....the argument should be between USC and Bama

MEANWHILE, boys, the NCAA D1 National Championship Quartw-Finals have been firmed up "
Kennesaw State vs Sam Houston State
New Hampshire vs South Dakota State
Weber State vs James Madison
Wofford vs North Dakota State
no committee making any subjective choices, whatsoever. (An objective championship playoff vs a subjective Invitational event)

Bama... And it shouldn't be a hard decision, It should be Alabama, it's going to be Ohio State. I say that as a Buckeyes fans, every major sports outlet right now has the Buckeyes projected in ahead of Alabama. I hope if it is Clemson vs Ohio Dwayne Haskins starts. Ohio State has the skill players to play with Clemson, but I think JT is vastly overrated

Bama... And it shouldn't be a hard decision, Yeah, but put any other teams name on that resume, and it wouldn't even be a discussion. no top 15 wins, no conf title.... It amazes me that, today.. Bama gets NO credit for being the first to CRUSH Florida State. FSU was ranked #3 when Bama played them. No one knew then, how the season was going to go. In my pre-season Calcutta, people were falling all over themselves to bid on the Seminoles. Bama just destroyed them. OK.. well, after that, their season fell apart and lots of people beat them. But, how much of that was because: a) Bama crushed their dreams, and b) Bama took out their star QB. NO ONE else, all year, played against the same FSU team that Bama beat.... a team that EVERYONE thought was a serious contender. Bama lost ONE game.. against a healthy #2 ranked Auburn, at Jordan-Hare... in a pretty close, hard fought game. No 35 point losses to pitiful teams. Has everyone forgotten last year? When Ohio State was sitting at home while Penn State was beating Wisconsin 38-31? A few weeks after Penn State had actually BEATEN Ohio State ON THE FIELD! Conference title didn't matter... head to head didn't matter... winning on the last weekend didn't matter. In my opinion, Ohio State should not even be part of this discussion. As someone said, if there is ANY discussion, it should be between Bama and USC. If Bama and Ohio State played against each other next week, Vegas would make Bama a 7+ point favorite. End of story.

Best resume > best team nonsense

Best resume > best team nonsense www.espn.com/college-football/playoffPictureFour teams are remaining with 1 loss (Other than Wisconsin, who just lost.. and, UCF.. who played a G5 schedule and played one less game) It's an easy call: FOUR teams standing. No other teams outside of that field can say they had a better season than the eventual winner from that field.

So we have
Bama 11-1 Ohio State 11-2 UCF 12-0 USC 11-2 Wisconsin 12-1
All have an argument for the 4th spot....
