The committee will be stupid and suck...again.
Alabama, Clemson, and Ohio State have a grip on college football. They are bullies...they punish and brutalize many schools. The rest of the college football world shakes in fear when they have to play these teams.
Georgia is getting better, but losing the NC game was a harsh blow.
TCU vs. Ohio State highlights the schedule. A lot of the other games will be pointless
Early Prediction: 1 Alabama vs. 4 Washington 2 Clemson vs. 3 Ohio State
National Championship Clemson over Alabama
Clemson gets their revenge this time in Clemson-Bama IV
There will be a lot of bowl games played as well

I think the committee is doing the best it can with the rules in place.

I'm just looking forward to seeing what Ohio State's offense looks like with Dwayne Haskins under center. I loved JT but after 4 years I'm ready to see a new guy at the helm and i'm hoping its Haskins.

I think the committee is doing the best it can with the rules in place. I will always have a problem when the selection process is largely the result of personal opinion. There are way too many biases to make it a level playing field for all. This year if Alabama had Arkansas on the Jersey do you think they would have made it over Ohio State. Then again if Ohio State had Maryland on their jersey then just maybe a team like UCF could have gotten the nod. Until they come it with a system that takes all bias out then there will always be a problem. If it were up to me the selection committee should be responsible for what is important prior to the start of the season. Then we go with an algorithmic solution based on how teams performed throughout the season. In my perfect world I would like to 6 maybe 6 certfied polls based strictly on performance (Sagarin, Massey, Colley...) Then drop the high and low and average out the rest. In that approach at least we know what we need to do prior to the start of the seaon.

But to be honest, the game they lost to Iowa was absolutely meaningless (except for making the playoff!). The win the week before against PSU gave them a bogey so to speak moving forward. They could afford a loss and still make the BIG title game. I have no issues with the way the playoff teams were selected this year - Ohio State has certainly benefited from the committee a couple times. But I do think a conference title should count for something. And again, OSU benefited in 2016 when they were selected over Penn State. But every year has to be different - you can't make decisions based on previous years. Alabama proved themselves worthy in the playoffs.
