Current recruits were 8 years old in 2008. Their decade of viewing CFB looks like this:
MICHIGAN STATE 8-2 vs. rival Michigan 2.5 Big Ten titles 6 10+ win seasons 93 overall wins (#15)
MICHIGAN 1-9 vs. rival OSU 2-8 vs. rival MSU 0 Big Ten titles 3 10+ win seasons 74 wins (#43)

3-17 against your top 2 rivals is not getting it done. Since 2001 UM is 2-15 vs Ohio State.

UM's hopes next year rely on the QB transfer, Shea Patterson from Mississippi being eligible. They'll have a solid defense but offensively their O-line is not up to par and Harbaugh brought in this Patterson kid over all the QB's he's recruited since his arrival at UM. It's a big year for them and they have to play ND, MSU and OSU on the road. Have fun with that!
