Is going to get a couple commitments today that will solidify the #1 class. One will be the #1 offensive lineman in the country and a top 10 player, the other will be somewhat of a surprise. I guess we'll see.

Clemson just managed to snatch Goodrich from LSU.
Surtain to Bama.
Clemson holding off LSU for Goodrich was a big finishing move for the class. He was a must get--adding that second quality DB who has versatility to play CB, Nickel and even S down the road.

Uga beats Bama for another quality recruit. Ridiculous class and finish. They flipped walker and reese. Clemson will need to step up it's game in 2019 to stay competitive for top guys in the state of Georgia. Something that has been key to recent success.

Well, Ohio State got the top 5 star OLman, Nick Petit-Ferre today and a 4 star LB Javontae Jean Baptiste out of NJ but Georgia is going to take the #1 class. If Brenton Cox doesn't flip to UGa it would be the Buckeyes. Still they got 20 of the top 225 players in the country including 13 of the top 100 so I think we'll be fine. How did Michigan do? They got 0 in the top 100 and one of their top recruits flipped to Georgia. The sleepovers aren't working Harbaugh.

Dabo Swinney and Clemson have beaten out Nick Saban and Alabama for the state of Alabama’s top-ranked prospect.
Phenix City (Ala.) Central five-star wide receiver Justyn Ross signed with Clemson on Wednesday afternoon, choosing the Tigers over finalists Alabama and Auburn during a school ceremony. His announcement was televised live by ESPN2.

Arizona State is currently the lowest-rated class among all Power 5 programs (78th overall).
Not a single 4⭐️ commit

Getting Pat Surtain Jr is pretty exciting for Bama. Georgia’s class looks amazing.
Coaching turnover has worked against us.

Coaching turnover is a tough nut to crack, can show up in a number of spots. In the last 2 cycles, it looks like Bama, OSU, Georgia, and Clemson will have signed 32 of the 65 5-Stars. There really is a Tier 1, and the rest. --- Tweet from FSU

Clemson had its best class in history, with 17 commits averaging > 4*.
17, however, is a small class. One small class not likely to hurt you, but this 17 class followed last year's class of 16 recruits.
That could spell trouble in terms of depth. You have to hope starters don't get injured, and you have to hope that the recruits you did select turn out to be ballers.

Most sites I've seen show Texas ar #3. That's our first Top 5 class since 2012. Have to be happy about that. Two of our top recruits are QB's. Not sure what we're going to to with those guys?
We also got a number of offensive linemen. That was a priority. Also a number of good defensive backs.... Always a need in the Big 12.
Things seem to be moving in the right direction. Schedule is favorable next year.
