Just stopped by to say hello. Miss you guys.
Thinking about the draft and the SEC's production of athletic talent to the NFL which is impressive and tops among leagues. Got a question, however :
Why is the SEC a relative 'no show' in producing head coaching talent for the top level of the sport ??
For example:
Among the 23 Pro Hall Of Fame head coaches - ZERO played SEC ball or are alumni of SEC schools ( at the time) Among the 32 current HCs in the NFL - Zero w/ SEC lineage Among the 52 Super Bowl winning head coaches- ZERO SEC boys. ZERO !
Successful NFL HC's come from everywhere.......other so called 'major' conferences, so called G5s, the 3 championship divisions of NCAA football, even the NAIA ....from everywhere EXCEPT the SEC !! ??
Honest question, boys. Maybe Hero can shed some light on why the SEC is and has been a relative barren wasteland in producing top NFL coaching talent.....the cerebral side of the sport at its highest level.
Ahhhhh

How have we survived without this kind of question?
Must be anti-SEC bias in the coaching fraternity. No other explanation possible.

I even got through to Finebaum and posed the question. His response "well, there was Spurrier although he was a flop "
