This is what their helmet looks like now:
The text is old block letter text and the Tiger head looks old too...like a walt disney tiger head from the 50s
Use the new text and new logo
something like this would work, but with yellow or white helmet, and Tiger head instead of numbers:
The text on the helmet is spot on. Add the updated Tiger head logo, and make all of the colors the same as the old helmet, and LSU has officially updated their helmets!

I'm kinda of the opposite, Evil. ...would like to see CF programs just quit screwing around and leave everything alone for at least 20 years. ..an old fart traditionalist, I guess.

I hope you are joking. LSU's helmets are classic and should never change. They are timeless.

The helmet - Delaware/Michigan I like Bama and PSU helmets too. Doesn't Princeton also wear the winged helmet? So how could it be THE helmet?! And the ultimate irony, Ohio State was the first to employ the winged helmet. Click the link for the history.
I really don't like Penn State's - it's boring - but I also don't like all the teams that wear a different helmet (Oregon) every week. I don't care much for when Ohio State wears the alternate unis and helmets - why mess around with tradition? Why?? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Sure thing- Princeton uses that helmet scheme too . The 'the' in the helmet is for maze and blue ( royal blue for UD). Princeton has black and orange. I didn't know that OSU was first. Thanks for sharing. Maine used it too for awhile. Lots of local HS teams use it around here. I'm kind of a boring fellow so that's why I like PSU uniforms, I guess.

I hope you are joking. LSU's helmets are classic and should never change. They are timeless. I'm not talking about a major overhaul...the helmet would essentially be the same. It would just be the 2018 version, not the 70s version anymore. Same Yellow/Gold helmet, purple facemask

That "newer" looking cartoon Tiger would look pretty cheesy on a football helmet IMO. I think the same thing when some Gator fans ask to put our Gator head logo on the helmet instead of our current 70's looking Gators cursive script logo. College football helmets for traditional / classic teams should never change. They are part of your brand.

Ya, the Gator head was pretty bad....Honestly, I don't know why Florida started playing around with different looks, like the F on the side. The Orange helmet with cursive "Gators", the blue jerseys, and the white pants - what I call the Spurrier look - that is the best BRAND look for the Gators As for LSU, you never know till your try!
